Scanning this thread, one can readily see why FR is getting right to the wire on funding.

The last time I saw a definitive stand on a truly divisive item was Trump and Cruz pre-convention. Now we have this stuff, wild craziness posts and bitterness on Ukr, and same on many subjects, and while I’m not a close student the only line seems to be held on excerpting and misclassified posts, and clear duplicates.

Time to take a choice, guys. I don’t presume to tell the site what direction it should take, but the noise/signal ratio is off the charts.

Ok, does anyone have a timeline with some details of proposals, negotiations, etc., of the several months leading up to the 30 day CR that had the 8% cuts and Ukraine stripped out? My local Rep’s office indicated some progress a few months ago, but also considerable distance between “fairly hawkish” (on the budget) Reps. (he voted “no” on the CR that passed) and “very hawkish” Reps.
