From this picture; it looks like it was an e-bike. It doesn't look like it "slammed" into anything. The e-bike doesn't appear to be damaged at all.

ok...obviously i’m not up to date on all this bike stuff. As to what exactly happened who knows. It says he had no helmet so however he fell off if his noggin hit something hard that is why I assume he is hospitalized.
