Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a 2024 presidential candidate, said on Sunday that he would not serve as President Trump’s vice president if the former president asked him to be his running mate.
“No, I’m running for president,” DeSantis said in an interview on Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures,” when asked whether he would accept a theoretical offer.
DeSantis’s comments come in response to Trump’s recent jab at the other GOP presidential candidates, among whom Trump said he did not see a potential running mate.

Yes, there is a long list of people he has turned on - because they stabbed him in the back - but there is a silver lining to all this betrayal: now we know who is who.
That is perhaps the one good thing that has come out of this relentless lawfare attack on President Trump - all the backstabbing RINOs have pretty much come out of the closet by now.
There will always be tens of millions of capable people who will jump at the chance to take a prestigious cabinet position or head up an agency. Thankfully, this time around, Trump will have a long, long list of backstabbing RINOs and NeoCons he can rule out.
For starters, he can rule out anyone who has claimed the 2020 election was not stolen. He can rule out anyone lobbying to send hundreds of billions of $$ to Ukraine. He can rule out anyone for open borders - anyone who pushed Covid shutdowns and mandates - anyone who thinks the Bidens are not corrupt - anyone who promotes wokeness and transgenderism - the list goes on.
The battle lines are much clearer this time around. Trump will have no problem assembling a loyal team that supports his MAGA agenda.

Only a very few braindead people would want DeSantis as VP. He brings nothing to the table. Trump already has the vote in Florida.
He threw in with the Bush family and big money Uni Party. He has earned every bit of scorn leveled on him.

This is the second time DeSantis has stated he wouldn’t accept. The first time a few months ago he said he wasn’t a number two guy, or something like that. Turns out he was right he as he settles in to 3rd place.

Should Trump win in 2024, I hope he chooses all of his leaders from outside the political elites. There are plenty of true conservatives with leadership qualities around the country. He can appoint assistants to these leadership positions, who know the ropes in DC. They can stay behind the scenes.

DeSanctis is already a turncoat. He could have stayed out of the race and been a shoe-in for 2028. He’s young. He has a good track record as governor, and can build on that. But nooooooo!
