Putin Orders First Nationwide Nuclear Exercise to Simulate Attack from Outside Borders

One day before the United States conducts a major test of its emergency alert communications network, Russia will hold drills in the event of a major nuclear attack.

On Wednesday, the United States' Federal Emergency Management Agency will test its Integrated Public Alert and Warning System.

According to The Hill, the test will occur about 2:20 p.m. Eastern Time unless bad weather postpones it for a week. This will mark only the second time FEMA has tested its national alert system for cellphones, which will be accompanied by a test through radios and TVs.

In response to the FEMA test, Russia scheduled for Tuesday its drills due to the "growing danger of armed conflicts including [with] nuclear-capable powers near Russia's borders," according to Newsweek, which on Friday cited as its source the Baza Telegram channel, which Newsweek said is linked to Russia's security services.

The drills have never taken place at a national level before, Newsweek reported.

“ Can we even produce the basic materials for waging war?”

No! We can’t produce even the 155 mm howitzer ammunition at the rate the Ukrainians are using in a small war. If we get into a real world war that lasts longer than six months we will be screwed.

RT russia ‘official’ media says it is the russian leaders who expand russian territory who are the great ones.

yeah, putin is definitely a war monger

this is *his* war. He started it. He owns it!

It’s not just Russian propaganda saying Putin is great. He has a huge fan club on FR too, unfortunately.

“If we get into a real world war that lasts longer than six months we will be screwed.”

Then again, I don’t think a real world war would last over a week before it goes total nuke and we all would be screwed.

“...it’s time for us to begin work on our bomb shelters.”

And come out of them to what? You have to consider that the people that would throw them out don’t consider the consequences of all out holocaust because if they did, they wouldn’t do it. If it ever came to it, the old adage of whoever has the most toys at the end wins becomes irrelevant. There won’t be any toys on the surface to have and no water of food to keep enough alive for the first blades of grass as it can potentially cause the collapse of civilization and, in the worst case, extinction of humanity and/or termination of all biological life on Earth. Who wins? And with China, India, Japan, Korea, Pakistan and a number of countries that have nothing anyway but the button, who’s to stop them. Those scenarios you saw on the computer screen in the movie War Games were not far from wrong. And for those in the US, there is no way to stop a couple of thousand ICBMs as they are an estimated 20 minutes away from launch to first det from sub launch.

The five considered the most potent of all, the “Trident II,” RS-24 “Yars,” LGM-30G “Minuteman III,” Dongfeng-41, and RS-28 “Sarmat.” The baddest is the Sarmat, or Satan II. The RS-28 Sarmat is capable of carrying 10 tonnes of payload, of ten 750 kiloton or 15 lighter MIRV warheads, and up to 24 Avangard hypersonic glide vehicles (HGVs) or a combination of warheads and several countermeasures against anti-ballistic missile systems. So they are capable of sending a missile we can’t stop and is over a 750 thousand times more powerful than Hiroshima. Not a pretty thought. It’s just a matter of who blinks first and has been for a few generations.

Because Zelensky is so dreamy. Especially when he plays the piano with his pecker.

Russia’s nukes don’t work anymore.

The Russians have an active space program so I don't think they've forgotten how to build nukes.

Don’t expect the Zelenskyyites to understand logic. With them, it’s all, “RUSSIA! RUSSIA! RUSSIA!”

What makes you think I want a war with anyone?

I do not.

No one can win a nuclear war when their adversaries also have hundreds to thousands of nuclear weapons. It is suicide.

I did 22 years in the US Air Force. Every base I lived at would be a radioactive crater.

Russia's nukes are more dangerous to Russians than they are to Americans...

Failed Russian nuclear test hints at Putin's dangerous plans to beat U.S. defenses

And their rockets don't work either...

US believes Russia had failed intercontinental ballistic missile test around when Biden was in Ukraine

And neither do their torpedoes...

Russia possibly tried and failed to test ‘apocalypse’ Poseidon nuclear torpedo

When was the last time the Muscovites actually lit a nuke off anyway? The weapons do have a shelf life and require heavy maintenance...much more than the rest of the Muscovites' military equipment.

When was the last time the Muscovites actually successfully tested one?

Why when discussing Putin must people compare him to others like Zelenskyy? I didn’t praise Zelenskyy, I commented on Putin being a warmonger. It’s weird.

I’ve been against the Ukraine War since DAY ONE, but then I studied the effects of nuclear blasts in my day. But it does seem like there’s a bunch of people, likely under 30 years old, who seem to think that we nukes aren’t so bad, or that we can somehow win a nuclear war...they SCARE THE HELL out of me.

None of Russia’s stuff works and they’re completely incompetent but we have to keep giving Ukraine stuff so Russia doesn’t take over the world. Got it
