McCarthy to Gaetz: ‘Bring It On,’ I’ll Survive as Speaker
Breitbart ^ | 10/01/2023 | Pam Key

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) plans to come after his speakership will fail.

Anchor Margaret Brennan said, “I want to start, though, on the news from Congressman Matt Gaetz, who says he’s going to seek a motion to vacate. He’s going to try to oust you as speaker of the House.”

Gaetz is radioactive. He has jumped the shark. He has no friends in Congress. Gaetz is a sociopath.

Possibly. But, McCarthy is a lying communist who went back on his promise and is aiding the other communists. Whatever the faults of anyone opposing McCarthy, I DO NOT CARE. They can be dealt with after McCarthy is destroyed.

When we finally got rid of Boehner we got Ryan who was even worse.

If we get rid of McCarthy we will gey Emmer who is Mr status quo personified.

We are screwed coming and going.

They ALL need to go.

The best one was Newt Gingrich. Everyone else is in it just for the perks and cocktail parties inside the Beltway.

Perhaps you should learn about sociopaths, which includes attempting to control others through threats and aggression.

*************

When we got McCarthy we kept Ryan. He is, most likely, the puppet master behind the curtain and therefore the de facto Speaker.

McCarthy is a lying communist

Hyperbole. Perhaps you should review the definition of communist. You might need to look up hyperbole first.

McCarthy is right, too. Gaetz will talk macho, and make sound bites for the press and GOP base. He will not dare to make one real move to challenge McCarthy.

Gaetz was the victim of a two-year hoax sex trafficking charge hanging over him and McCarthy (as the House party leader) refused to defend Gaetz against the charges.

That's why Gaetz hates McCarthy for his lack of support for him during this ordeal. As his party leader, Gaetz expected more from McCarthy to defend him the way that Democrats defend their own.

You can characterize Gaetz' behavior as sociopathic, but it is rooted in a very visceral relationship between the two of them that has been festering for two years. I'm sure that Gaetz felt backstabbed by McCarthy and that McCarthy's lack of support served to fuel the LAAP-dog media's quest to drive Gaetz out of Congress.

McCarthy will win that fight, and unbelievably Gaetz knows it, yet he, Gaetz, persists. He must be thinking of “winning” something else for himself, because the vote will not be a win for the GOP even as McCarthy wins it. So, what is Gaetz really after???

Not necessarily. He shows signs of understanding the situation. Which you obviously don’t

So expecting someone you supported to honor their promises and commitments is being a sociopath? By your definition anyone who acts to hold people accountable for their promises is a sociopath. Also, by your definition everyone supporting Gaetz on the matter of accountability is also a sociopath. You are pretty loose with words.

In the past week or so, I’ve heard Gaetz engaging his beloved microphone while dissing Donalds and Jim Jordan too. Gaetz sociopathic attacks and threats are not limited to K. McCarthy.

This fight will permanently damage McCarthy, not Matt Gaetz.

Gaetz is fighting to save the country. McCarthy is fighting to save his OWN POWER.

I find two of your comments interesting.
First, “There are too many purist Republicans”. For decades we listened to the GOPe lie constantly to us to get elected and then tell us they couldn’t do what they said because they didn’t have the numbers or al of Congress or the Presidency. There was always a reason. Now there are some that are calling them on that and to say they are “purists” because they are taking a stand and calling them out on their lies is just another way of saying we need to keep accepting the lies and non actions. That may be acceptable to you but not to me.
Second: “No wonder democrats have been in majority longer since JFK” I won’t go into the cheating the democrats do that made a lot of that possible, but will address it from how the democrats operate. While they may be diverse in skin color, they are almost 100 percent in lock step in their ideology and present a united front. They don’t really have the differences of opinions that we see in the republicans. And when you stick together and defend regardless of idea or offense, then you often win. So, while you deride republicans here on FR and in Congress who are being purists, that is exactly what the democrats are and it has not hurt them as you point out. A perfect example of what I am saying is Trump’s first two years as president. He was almost completely undermined by, not democrats but two deep state Rinos, McConnel and Ryan. Those two represent the GOPe that lied to us for years, continue to do so, and continue to “compromise” which always seems to give the democrats what they want. So you can call it purist, but I call it fighting for principle and against the GOPe that has sold us out for decades.
