I heard it was on Netflix but don't want to bother if it's not any good.
Its pretty good if you can get past the fact that all white males (and white female robot) are either evil or crazy. The heros are all black, asian, or halfricans.
I’d like to know that myself.
I have read and re-read those books many times.
There’s the original three, plus prequels and sequels written in later years.
Asimov took some flak from fans that spotted inconsistencies in the later books from the original storyline.
“Give me a break!” he wrote in his autobio(?). “I wrote the original in my early 20’s! 50 years later I’m supposed to remember every little detail?”.................
“I heard it was on Netflix but don’t want to bother if it’s not any good.”
It is not on Netflix, it is on Apple TV+
It’s on Apple TV+. The second season just ended two weeks ago. Lots of female characters and homosexual males. Produced by Sony. The production quality is excellent but the plot is very convoluted.
It’s on Apple. It’s OK. Unless you liked the books.
I have watched both seasons. I have never read the original by Asimov so I don’t know how much the series deviates from it, but I liked it, and can’t wait for the next installments. Great acting and great special effects.
>> Hey, has anybody checked out the new series “Foundation” based on the Isaac Asimov books?
Hey! Feinstein is DAID. You’re not taking this Sirius Lee enough. ;-)
The Incredible “Wokeness” of Goyer’s TV Adaptation of Asimov’s ‘Foundation’
I wince every time I hear about anything being turned into tv/movie anymore. It’s going to suck like a black hole.
We’ve been watching it. It’s kind of complex but VERY good. We’re hooked.
It’s on apple
It’s pretty good.
Convoluted, yes...
Woke-ish, yes...
Fast forward button is your friend...
Time for Nathan Fillian to return...
I just got Apple TV+ and it was the first series a tried out. SciFi is a desert wasteland these days, but ATV+ seems to have some good content. The first season was good, though a little convoluted in space and time. The universe is huge and special effects are good. Yes, it is somewhat woke in its portrayal of white male vs brown/female characters, but at least in the first season, not completely in your face with it.
