Could someone kindly provide me an example when economic sanctions have actually worked? My definition of ‘worked’ includes not harming everyday Americans, doing harm to the sanctioned nation, the sanctioned nation not bypassing the sanction and averting war.
The Neocon Plan was to end insurance on shipments of Russian oil that were over $60/barrel.
Only problem was that Russia actually has insurance companies...so Russia insured the shipments.
We both knew the plan was idiotic, but after watching our best weapons being destroyed in Ukraine, it should be QUITE CLEAR that the Neocons running the US have NO CLUE as to Russian capabilities.
