Now that I understand what ding dong ditch is, I’d say that trooper deserves a little of his own medicine. I can maybe see beating the hell out of an antifa or BLM puke that just burned down someone’s store. But a kid just having harmless fun certainly does not.

A harmless prank? Not when they do it multiple times, in the middle of the night, for several nights.

I would give this guy a small fine. Like $5. Charge the kid with ‘disturbing the peace, and fine him- or his parents. Once parents are held responsible for the crimes their children commit this crap will stop.

The kid MAY HAVE learned a lesson, which will be negated if they seriously charge him.

Back in the day If you did something stupidly juvenile, maybe under influence of Boone’s farm, causing a nuisance and then mouthing off to LEO who caught you-

Tuned up by LEO then spirited home to waiting parents who are then given summary of events leading up to knot on head and some peripheral bruising-

Result in a parental tune up to emphasize initial instruction of LEO

Disincentive to continue further actions resulting in “tune ups”
