People are becoming more concerned about COVID-19 amid the recent uptick in cases and new variants, according to Gallup’s latest quarterly poll.
Gallup polled more than 5,000 U.S. adults between Aug. 29 and Sept. 5.
Thirty percent of respondents said they believe the pandemic is getting worse — up from 5% in late May/early June and 8% in February, according to a news release on Gallup’s website.

I haven’t seen anything about on my local news. I don’t know anyone who is getting it. Know some have flu B.
Democrats in general are Pretty Damned UGLY, so PLEASE do us all a favor WEAR YOUR MASK!!!
Why? They’ve probably had the jab and 20 boosters. What are these tards afraid of?
“Democrats are much more likely to wear a mask currently — 25% of the Democrats who answered the survey wear one at least sometimes, compared to 15% of independents and only 6% of Republicans.”
The Democrats talk about “following the science” yet they are more likely to wear masks.
Yeah, I don’t care how pessimistic you are, if you have an IQ above room temperature you know that masks don’t work.
Meanwhile, NYS is giving up the ghost on requiring CoupFlu vaxxes for healthcare employees.
Go figure.
My favorite was when l was in a Lib area and a Karen was outside jogging with a mask on.
dems believe their party’s lies, because they had to reject critical thinking in order to become dems,
At least the mask identifies people to be avoided.
The mask should make it easy to identify them.
Democrats and retards, but I repeat myself
I actually like when people wear masks to “protect against the spread of COVID” because it allows me to identify the idiots and fools without the need to engage with them in conversation. 😁
Well, when one is talking about a psy-op -- and that's all this "pandemic" thing is, at this point -- perception is everything. But what do the data say?
It'll take several more weeks for the CDC to compile and post the information it is being sent by the various state health authorities across the country about the number of deaths that were coded specifically as "deaths involving COVID" for the month of September, now ending. What's available now is obviously incomplete, simply judged by the "percentage of expected death" figure currently associated with the month. But insofar as the survey to which this story refers was conducted mostly during this past August, there might be some value in looking to see what the August 2023 data show, in comparison to prior Augusts during this, um, "pandemic."
So, what do the data show? Well, first off, "deaths involving COVID" in the U.S. for August 2023 were reported to be 3,844. How does that compare to prior Augusts? In (pre-vax) August 2020, there were 29,913 deaths. In (vax-now-available) August 2021, there were 48,822 deaths. Hmm. Oh, well. In August 2022, the number of deaths coded as "involving COVID" had dropped to 14,139.
But what of the month-to-month trend? Are the COVID hypochondriacs drawing on that in perceiving that things in August 2023 started to "get worse"? Again, what do the data show?
In (pre-vax) July 2020, "deaths involving COVID" were reported to be 31,135 (i.e., slightly more than the aforementioned 29,913 deaths that were to be incurred in August 2020). In (vax-now-available) July 2021, "deaths involving COVID" were reported to be 11,222 (considerably lower than in the preceding year, but soon to be followed by an August in which the number of deaths -- 48,822 -- would not only increase greatly, but reflect a greater number of deaths incurred in the August preceding. (This August 2021 skyrocket would be followed by an even more noteworthy increase in COVID deaths in September 2021, compared to September 2020 -- i.e., 63,444 COVID deaths in September 2021 compared to but 19,158 in (pre-vax) September 2020. Vax mandates, anyone? But I digress.)
In July 2022, the number of reported "deaths involving COVID" was 13,393, actually a bit higher than the year before, and a figure that would be exceeded slightly in the following month of August (i.e., the above-mentioned 14,139).
And what of this year's trend? "Deaths involving COVID" in July 2023 came in at 2,295. So, yes, the 3,844 figure we see for August 2023, while considerably lower than in all preceding Augusts during the "pandemic," is somewhat higher than the preceding month of July 2023. This same slight July-to-August tick up had been seen the two prior years.
Make of these data what you will. But it would appear that, for some people, they seem to have well and truly embraced the perception of an ongoing COVID "threat." They have been lost, probably forever, to the psy-op. Today, the SARS-COV-2 pathogen -- which, due to normal evolutionary pressures, long ago lost all of the Ralph Baric-designed HIV inserts that had characterized the original Wuhan strain -- is a "common cold" virus, and that's all it is.
Nice post, DSH. Psy-op indeed.
Godless people always have two big fears: fear of the future and fear of death. Just look at the Dims and their hysterical reaction to anyone who didn’t want to wear a mask or get the shot. I repeat, Godless people are terrified of the future and death. Dims are Godless, so A = B = C.
So it’s easy to tell who is an idiot and a rat. Pardon me for repeating myself.
Faux News....
No one is thinking about COVID except for those who want to NOT talk about Biden and his corruption.
