Disney needs to put away the bong.
Disney needs to be sent to its own very small world, after-all.
This is just silly. Disney trying to declare itself a sovereign country. So funny I don’t know where to start.
The State of Florida is sovereign, it is the king. Just legislate new terms for governance.
Story is nine months old. I do t know what the current status is, but the Legislature should be able to successfully abrogate the agreement. You can’t contract away the authority of the Legislature
“The district in question is the Reedy Creek Improvement District, which was established in 1967. It was created by the Florida Legislature so Disney could develop the infrastructure for Walt Disney World at no cost to Florida taxpayers.”
The Legislature established the District - the Legislature can de-establish it and revert it to standard controls.
The FAA-designated TFR’s, or Temporary Flight Restrictions, used to create restricted airspaces on an as-needed basis for POTUS, VPOTUS, disaster areas and the like, Washington DC (another disaster area, so I repeated myself) has a unique situation with Disney.
Disney, a corporation, has its own *permanent* TFR, unlike ANY other private corporation. How did they get, and how do they retain this ‘pull’?
Current Disney TFR’s date to 10/27/2014, perhaps earlier than that (these probably replaced earlier equivalents). Surface to 3000’ AGL
Floriduh: ZJX 4/3634 TFR (2014-3634-1)
Californicatia: ZJX 4/3634 TFR (2014-3634-1)
Apparently, not.
Disney really does believe they’re living in Fantasyland.
No, it apparently is not sovereign. At least in an ‘allodial’ way. The ‘State of Florida’ is a corporation, under the UNITED STATES, INCORPORATED.
Yep, they are living in Alice in Wonderland.
It's a rabbit hole, and it is very deep.
This country doesn’t have royalty. All royal titles are invalid here.
The word Sovereignty has been greatly undermined by the feckless left, but you are correct.
What I want to know is who in the heck allowed or agreed to allow Brittain sovereignty over land in our nation? Evidently Washington DC is a terroritory too under their control? We fought a war to secure America as ours and the lovers got to dictate terms?
Sorry meant to say “and the losers get to dictate the terms and keep some of the land?”
Yes, it is American land currently occupied by a foreign power. The DOD Law of War manual goes into this in detail (Chapter 18, I believe).
That is the way it is supposed to work, indeed.
But, then there seems to be indications of the opposite.
The town I live in has a seal with it’s year of incorporation - 1735. Yes, 41 years PRIOR to the American Revolution. Yet, the town sees fit to place this seal ubiquitously in every document and every single street sign.
Thanks ill.check that out- I probsbly won’t understand much, but it seems odd to me that after having fought as hard as we did, that we should give up land to foreigners like that. Especially foreigners that we escaped from because of their tyranny over out lives back in Brittain before we left.
There are 3 city states in the world. They are linked together, as the ‘Empire of the City’. The Wash DC flag has 3 stars on it, purportedly for these 3 cities.
Washington DC.
City of London.
The Vatican.
Isn’t this old news?
