If the FBI were an honorable, legitimate operation other than a fascist-minded cabal it would state; “We have not finished our investigation, but what we have found and what we can tell you without interfering with a possible criminal charge is....” Or barring that, “We began our investigation on [date] and we expect to conclude it on [date].” But that will never happen because the FBI works as secretly as the STASI or Gestapo.
