Guy was probably a bit player, a private or maybe corporal in an SS division. Very few enlisted men in the German military were card-carrying Nazis, but that doesn’t matter when there are propaganda points to be scored.
Also don’t forget that he himself may have experienced the Holodomor. A memory that would make anybody do anything to get back at Moscow.
In other words, he was a good Nazi?
What I can gather is he was mostly likely a foot soldiers long after this division was involved in any notable war crimes.
