Is the propaganda working yet? Do you believe the West is really the good guy here? Ukraine and Russia continually point the finger and accuse the other of supporting Nazis. Well, jet-setting Zelensky recently visited Canada’s Parliament where they invited a literal former Nazi from World War II to speak. Yaroslav Hunka, former 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS, received a standing ovation.
The 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the SS was a voluntary division composed of Ukrainians.
Hunka retired to Canada after the war and was never punished for his crimes. Trudeau thought it would be a good idea for him to visit Ottawa and speak on Ukraine and Canada’s cooperation during wartime. Trudeau is making House of Commons Speaker Anthony Rota take the heat for inviting Hunka. “I wish to make clear that no one, including fellow parliamentarians and the Ukraine delegation, was aware of my intention or of my remarks before I delivered them,” Rota said, although he previously called the Nazi volunteer “a Ukrainian hero and a Canadian hero.”
Jewish rights groups are not accepting the apology. The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) said they were shocked to see the Canadian government celebrating the Nazis. “There should be no confusion that this unit was responsible for the mass murder of innocent civilians with a level of brutality and malice that is unimaginable,” the group stated.
Trudeau has not personally apologized. Poilievre took to X to explain that Trudeau played a direct role in this embarrassing situation: “No parliamentarians (other than Justin Trudeau) had the opportunity to vet this individual’s past before he was introduced and honoured on the floor of the House of Commons. Without warning or context, it was impossible for any parliamentarian in the room (other than Mr. Trudeau) to know of this dark past.”
The modern-day Nazis continue to support Ukraine. Zelensky has already received $6.7 billion from Canada and is ready to pocket more. So, you decide if the West is still the “good guy” in this growing conflict.

Why is what military group some random 98 year old guy joined more important than what Russian soldiers are doing right now?
Why are certain pro Russian posters, and certain activist groups attacking a Jewish man from a family that lost many members to the Holocaust? Of 4 Zelensky brothers only one survived the second world war. All 4 of them fought against the Germans, and three were killed by the Germans along with other family members.
The surviving brother, Zelensky's grandfather, fought in the Red Army against the Germans.
But somehow pro Russian posters want us to believe Zelensky is a Jewish Nazi.

Disturbing, but not surprising to see Canada’s Parliament rise to applaud, not once but twice, an outright scumbag who was a Ukrainian veteran of the infamous 14th Waffen Grenadier Division of the Nazi SS, a Nazi military branch responsible for the murder of Jews, Christians and others in political opposition.
Canada’s opposition leaders noted that Trudeau himself even had a meeting with Hunka before the event. Then, the Liberals planned for this Nazi scumbag to be recognized on the House of Commons floor during Zelensky’s visit and Zelensky of course stood with raised fist during the two standing ovations.
This wasn’t something spur of the moment, as the CYA moves indicate, it was all planned.
What I can gather is he was mostly likely a foot soldiers long after this division was involved in any notable war crimes.
I snicker when I hear of the evil of National Socialism and their racist eugenic policies that ended in mass murder. We’ve murdered over 60 million unborn children as a “righteous” victor of WWII.
They had their crackpot racist theories applauded by the likes of Margaret Sanger and her followers to slaughter the unwanted and we have the convenience factor as our modus operandi.

You fail to understand who the Waffen SS was and what they did. If my father was still alive, he could explain it to you in a way only a WW2 Infantryman could.
His division didn’t liberate the well known Nazi death camps, but did liberate a dozen “ work” camps and satellite camps.They were everywhere inside Germany. Those Nazi “ work” camps were perhaps worse, masses were worked to death, the far majority died of starvation and disease.

What’s the problem? These same leftists happily applaud György Schwartz (aka George Soros), a Jew who participated in implementing the Holocaust, who excuses himself on the basis that if he hadn’t done what he did, someone else would have.
This situation is not nearly as simple as it has been made out to be. During WWII, Ukraine had Nazi Germany attacking from the west, and Communist Russia attacking from the east. It did not have the capability of defeating either of them. Pragmatically, it chose to side with Germany. The author wrote of this soldier’s ‘war crimes’, as if he had been proven guilty of war crimes. He apparently has not.
His group was made up of volunteers whose objective was the preservation of Ukraine. Many were killed in the war. The group was absorbed into the Nazi military. Ukraine was absorbed by the Soviet Union. There were no winners there. These volunteers were heroes to many Ukrainians.
The author wrote of this soldier’s ‘war crimes’, as if he had been proven guilty of war crimes.

There were some 600–800 soldiers and it has been established that Kazimierz Wojciechowski (who was burnt alive that day), commandant of Polish forces in the village, had been informed of the approaching enemy around two hours before the attack. The Poles however, had too little time to prepare a defense or to escape.
The village was shelled by artillery. The Ukrainian SS soldiers, led by a German SS captain, after firing and throwing grenades, entered Huta Pieniacka, assembled the farmers and their families and locked them in their barns. They then set fire to the village and remained until nightfall before leaving. Those trying to escape were killed.

Some time around noon a mixed force of Ukrainian SS and German soldiers and a strong contingent from the SS Freiwilligen Division “Galizien” surrounded Huta Pieniacka and herded the villagers into their barns.
The attackers set fire to the village and it burned all day. According to Bogusława Marcinkowska, a historian from Kraków’s office of the Institute of National Remembrance, …..the Ukrainians threw infants against walls and cut open the stomachs of pregnant women…… The murderers left at night. Many of them were drunk and singing songs. Only four houses remained, and on the next day a mass funeral took place. Those who survived escaped to Zloczow and other towns, never to return.
Witnesses interrogated by the Polish prosecutors of the “The Head Commission for the Prosecution of Crimes against the Polish Nation” described the details of crimes committed against women, children and newborn babies. After murdering the inhabitants of Huta Pieniacka, the local Ukrainian population looted the remaining property of the murdered, loading everything on horse-drawn carts that had been prepared beforehand. According to those Poles who survived, the Germans did not participate in the massacre itself……
While you are busy trying to divert attention away from the present by re-visiting what happened 80 years ago, Russians today are once again killing civilians, destroying cities, raping women and children, and doing what they always do.
Just like the terrible tragedy at Sobibor, Russians killed millions of Ukrainians in the last century. Why aren't you writing about that?
