A Native American group filed a lawsuit against the Washington Commanders in federal court this morning that upends a long-standing cancel-culture narrative about racism in sports.
The Native American Guardians Association (NAGA) accuses the NFL franchise and new owner Josh Harris of defamation, civil conspiracy and civil rights violations for their role in suppressing Native American history, in a complaint filed in the United States District Court of North Dakota.
NAGA led a viral petition this summer demanding that the organization reclaim its traditional Redskins identity. It generated 150,000 signatures.

Absolutely! We keep running into legal roadblocks about 'standing'. Well, who has more standing to decide this issue than native Americans?

This charade of having a tribe sue is just part of the attempt.
So what about the charade of a bunch of white foreskin student loan deadbeats demanding the name be changed by the Cancel Culture Club fags. How do you feel about that?
Swamp Rats would have been a better name.
This is why you never appease anyone.
They sue if you keep the name.
They sue if you no longer use the name.
Countersue for 3x as much for nuisance lawsuit, harassment, consipracy to defame reputation and character to cause financial harm, anything else to hammer them into the ground.

That’s what I said from the beginning.
Caving to insanity got us woke and cancel culture. Washington Redskins is as it should be and bring back the Washington Bullets.
I still think the Washington football team should be named the Washington Swamp.

I’m eating this up. This is one way for them to beat the white boyz system. Personally, I think it’s brilliant. BTW: On the three reservations I worked on for 15 years after my time in the Army, I saw that the Native Americans’ favorite teams are the Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys and Pittsburgh Steelers.
