Atlantic Beach was getting chewed up pretty bad. Waves we at 5-7 ft but breaking like 10 ft out. Pretty impressive and not even a hurricane

Ophelia is a very strong tropical storm, just shy of hurricane strength since last night.

I’m a little south of Raleigh. It’s breezy for sure. I just spent $9K on tree removal three weeks ago. Glad I did. There were some huge oaks a little too close to the house.

Don’t forget maple syrup as those items are the makings of some French toast followed by a trip to the bathroom.

I’m familiar with the area traveled there 4 times a year for 30 years, flooding could be a problem as well as rising water at high tide. Some of the nicest people in the country live there.

There is another potential storm out there. Any word on that one as far as tracking and intensity goes?

This is another storm with a massive wind field 600+ miles across. Hopefully, the storm’s angle of approach will minimize flooding for the Neuse and Pamlico Rivers, and Albemarle Sound.

Very fortunate timing for your very expensive tree removal.

Here at OBX, looks like the main storm went west of us. Probably will be some flooding in low lying areas. Had some rain and a bit of wind, nothing else.
