I wonder what is going to happen to his legal case with the NYT. Maybe this was a way to kill the company so all of those legal cases just go away.

I just got an email from them informing me that my donations have been paused. I stopped donating when JOK left, but started back up when they continued to go after groomers. I had hoped JOK and PV could agree to just go their own ways and continue their work, but it looks like JOK is the one left standing. Too bad.

I’ve seen this happen several times in organizations. Someone comes on board, learns a little bit from the master, and starts trying to take over. Thinks they’re doing just as much, just as well; when in fact they only understand a part of the surface and are only doing a limited imitation—because they are not the creator/fountain of ideas.
I’ve seen it ruin organizations. Other times, I’ve seen the interloper get fired in the nick of time and the organization survives.
