He could have just bent the dress code by ditching the coat and tie while still looking decent in a dress shirt and slacks. Instead he’s completely smashing it by wearing shorts and a mechanic’s work shirt. And he’s doing it on a day when he’s at peak visibility and guaranteed to get media and public attention. So, clearly a calculated political display by the Democrats. I think they’re angling for the slob vote here.
