Yep, the plan has to have the weight and force of US military and economic power behind it. As an outsider, Trump does not wield that. It is kind of stupid of Zelenskyy to ask.
Zelenskyy obviously does not want a peace deal that would work, because he would have to give up to much. Besides, If Trump actually voiced a plan now it would be torn apart in the media and used against him.
