The schools are barely functioning with all the illegal alien children. There are no used cars to buy because 8 million illegal alien military service aged men need transportation. Drug trade and crime are skyrocketing and Cartels are moving into every racket imaginable, and corrupting the police as they do. This is literally deadly serious. It is not a political social debate anymore. It is a life and death emergency.

You have credentials as a resident of Texas, but I will suggest it is both. That is generally how a typical "tipping point" appears, if there is time to actually observe the point.
The tricky part is that the invasion will be impossible to reverse. Effective resolution of the emergency you refer to will require political courage, along with taxpayer-funded additional social services and greatly enhanced law enforcement.
The best immediate action is too tightly control any further growth and that is contrary to the agenda of the anti-MAGA ComDems presently in control.
any governor of any state has the authority to deport or otherwise do what they need to to seal their borders, contain any illegals if they do not deport them. the Govs shipping them around are just aiding the enemy wanting them spread around. any governor NOT protecting their states borders and citizens is aiding the enemy.
