Congressional staffers are being advised not to wear jewelry or become distracted on cell phones while walking around in crime-ridden, Democrat-run Washington, DC.
House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil (R-WI) held a meeting that included Capitol Police and focused on things staffers can do to lessen the chances of becoming targets of criminals as crime surges in D.C., the Washington Times reported.
Steil said, “There’s no indication that crime is being reduced in our nation’s capital, so people are working to make sure that they’re protected.

A female friend parked her car near Capitol Hill, opened her car-trunk to get something. While in her trunk, 3 “youths” walking by simply opened up the side-door, and grabbed her laptop bag off the front seat.
She was small, so she only followed them a little bit (they simply kept walking), taking photos, before she quickly realized there was nothing she could do physically.
She went to the police, showed them photos and even was able to track her computer to an address in NE DC
She said the cops were nice enough, but could not have cared less.

HUH? They should be ORDERED to wear as much expensive jewelry and other things that they own in an effort to support the local economy for disadvantaged yutes that really need that property.
I live in a semi-rural section of Maryland. DC is a city I will not enter, except for the rare times when I must.
Luckily, I have no need at all to enter Baltimore.

Yes actually you can. There is nobody in the government sector of DC. Its pretty much a ghost town. Even the tourists are hardly around. Outside the govt sector things are pretty normal so maybe that’s what they’re talking about.
