Assange has means to sniff out info like this. He did not mention defense contractors stuffing campaign coffers, but that’s a certainty.
Knowing that some companies “profit” from materiel needed for war - which is always true with every war - pretends that fact means those “profits” are the reason for the war. It’s a populist but often ignorant assumption.
For instance I am sure the American military suppliers “profited” from Reagan’s military buildup, but I reject the idea (always sold by the left at times) that those “profits” were Reagan’s motives.
In the last few decades more and more self-professed “conservatives” have acquired, as their own, populist themes spewed by the Leftist since the cold war.
