Trump attacks 'liberal Jews destroying America' in Rosh Hashanah message

Former US president Donald Trump attacked "liberal Jews who voted to destroy America and Israel" in a Rosh Hashanah greeting sent on his social media website Truth Social early on Monday morning.

Trump, who beat US President Joe Biden in a new 2024 presidential election poll on Monday, published a list of his Israeli-related accomplishments during his tenure at the White House.

Above the list, a caption reads "just a quick reminder for liberal Jews who voted to destroy America and Israel because you believed false narratives! "Let's hope you learned from your mistake and make better choices moving forward," Trump's caption continued. "Happy new year!"

The list posted included the former president's recognition of Israel's sovereignty over the Golan Heights and the relocation of the US embassy to Jerusalem, something "no other president had the balls to do," as per the post.

The post also rejected accusations that Trump is antisemitic, writing sarcastically that Trump is "clearly one of the greatest antisemites of our time" in light of his achievements.

Trump caused uproar among American Jewry when he accused them of disloyalty to Israel on several occasions for not being more supportive of him, despite all the good he did for Israel.

Trump also denied connection with antisemites after meeting hosting Kanye West and white nationalist Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes at his Mar-a-Lago resort in November.

It’s of ww2 origin, but modern Israel passed some laws to enable the trials to go ahead. They also sealed the records for 70yrs from the date of the trial. The first records should be unsealed in 2033 or so.

Maybe not orthodox...I said religious minded Jews. They tended to use the term “temple” loosely as in “I’m going to temple” (in the same manner as Christians would say “I’m going to church!”) but never “I am going to THE TEMPLE”.
I’m not in disagreement with you. The people I knew as Jews lived mostly in Binghamton, NY upstate who lived there or had attended the SUNY campus there. “Going to temple” was how they often described their activities on the Sabbath.

My point is that modern day Jewish people who support policies which are aimed at allowing the enemies of Jews to destroy Israel are modern day Kapos.

Well if you want to insist on that belief I won’t argue with you. The word “Temple” in English reminds me of the stories of the Temple of Solomon in the Old Testament. Sure there are “temples’ in the world where false idols are worshipped. Yet they aren’t the first things that come to mind when I hear the word Temple. The temple of Solomon comes to mind, specifically the story of the day of its dedication when the Shekinah glory of the Living God fell upon it and then into it!

I understand. I'm just pointing out that it's a foolish position from a political standpoint. I'm not going to vote for Biden because Trump forgot to send me a holiday greeting. And if your friends are devoted liberals it has no impact on them. But it's a negative for those in the middle. And irrelevant relative to Jewish voting. I was suggesting the impact of what I believe is a self centered post (Trump not you). He was a strongly pro-Israel President, far more than Biden or Obama. He somehow seems to expect that somehow being pro-Israel, one issue of many, would somehow change how all Jews vote. A foolish idea, which many on the left would equate with the dual loyalty canard.

More foolish, though no one has a good handle on who Jews vote for due to the rather small population, in 2020 Trump got 30% of the Jewish vote. Up from 24% in 2016, the largest, tied with Romney, since the Reagan/Bush Sr. days.

If I'm correct he's expressing his ego here, he should get it under control.
