House GOP grows skeptical on Ukraine: ‘It’s not just the Freedom Caucus’
The Hill via Yahoo ^ | September 17th, 2023 | Brad Dress

Skepticism is growing among House Republicans on the approval of more Ukraine funding as Congress faces its first test on America’s role in the war against Russia.

The House could face a vote as soon as this month as the Senate looks to fold a Ukraine aid package into a continuing resolution that would push back the deadline for a potential government shutdown.

While a minority wing of far-right lawmakers have long opposed more Ukraine funding, several GOP lawmakers told The Hill this week that more moderate House Republicans are also raising concerns.

“It’s not just the Freedom Caucus; I think there’s a lot of people that are concerned with funding,” said Rep. Lisa McClain (R-Mich.), a member of the House Armed Services Committee. “I think it all depends on what’s in the bill.”

McClain said she wanted Congress to focus the spending bills on keeping the federal government running and on domestic crises like the recent wildfires in Hawaii.

“We have the appropriations bills right that we need to get out,” she said. “That is super critical. But also what I’m more concerned about is disaster relief for the United States. That’s what our focus is on right now.”

Ukraine is corrupt. The Biden White House is corrupt.

Thousands continue to be maimed and slaughtered because the political class keeps funding this disaster.

Declare that the glorious victory for perverts has been won—and then end it.

Are you saying one of the most corrupt countries in world isn’t worth dying for?

Or that we should spend our treasure and weapons defending our OWN borders against the thousands of illegals breaching our borders EVERY DAY - MOST OF THEM YOUNG MEN OF MILITARY AGE?

How much of this aid is actually going to the Ukrainian armed forces? You have to expect that top office holders both here and in Ukraine are taking a cut. Some old school anti-Communist observers, such as Frank Gaffney and Jeff Nyquist, believe that the Biden Administration is slow walking advanced military technology to the Ukrainian armed forces. They claim that the Ukrainian Army is getting more relevant aid from Poland, Sweden, and the Baltic states. Nyquist believes that the Biden family is on the take from both China and Russia. Given that Biden was initially promoted by Armand Hammer, the George Soros of the mid-20th Century, it is not impossible that Biden is secretly siding with Russia and China and the American response to the Ukrainian invasion is kabuki theater.

Countering this argument is the influence of the neoconservative faction in the foreign policy establishment. People like Victoria Nuland and Anthony Blinken are very much anti-Russian and pro - NATO expansion. That the Russians failed to overwhelm the Ukrainians is evident. The Ukrainian War appears to be a power game between a resurgent Chinese-Russian-Iranian bloc and the collective West.

I'll give Ukraine money. But I'll tell them that they have until 2024. Otherwise, they'll have to ask for more money from the EU (good luck with that).

That will force Zelensky to negotiate with Putin.

Putin gets his land bridge to Crimea so there will be a cease fire for the time being.

Most people are pretty much done with these ruling class ginned up wars in foreign lands. The corrupt elite all come out rich, the rest of us get their arms, legs and heads blown off.

Anyone going along with the military industrial complex nowadays will basically be fighting for 40 million illegal alien’s who’ll be left behind with zero risk to themselves.
