Exclusive: Biden Admin Breaks Texas Town’s All Time Record for Migrant Apprehensions

In one single day, one Border Patrol station in the small Texas border town of Eagle Pass apprehended more migrants than all ten stations in the El Paso Sector combined. According to a source within CBP, more than 1,300 migrants were apprehended on Friday in the small border town.

The source says the surge has prompted the Border Patrol to conduct mass releases into the Texas border town. On Saturday, Breitbart Texas witnessed several groups of migrants leaving a charity shelter and attempting to walk from the border city to San Antonio, Texas — a trek of more than 150 miles. The migrants told Breitbart Texas they were forced out of the shelter due to capacity issues and because they lacked the funding to purchase bus tickets on their own.

As Breitbart Texas moved throughout the city, migrants could be observed leaving the only non-government shelter, Mission Border Hope. The migrants are leaving the city with no funds to purchase bus tickets or fly out. The city’s streets were awash with migrants walking aimlessly, asking residents for a ride or money to purchase meals.

Here's one reason, the mayor.

The Eagle Pass City Council voted unanimously to rescind an agreement with the State of Texas designating a public park as private property under the control of the Department of Public Safety. The designation allowed Texas law enforcement authorities to post “Private Property” signs within the park and facilitated the prosecution of migrants for criminal trespass.

Mayor Rolando Salinas entered into the agreement in June after being approached by the state. The agreement came under Texas Governor Abbott’s Operation Lone Star border security initiative. The agreement resulted in migrants being jailed for criminal trespass after crossing the Rio Grande and entering the Shelby Park grounds.

The charge of criminal trespass in Texas is considered a Class B misdemeanor and can carry a fine of up to $2,000 or up to 180 days of jail without enhancements. Most migrants charged under the offense plead guilty and are turned over to the Border Patrol to face administrative disposition of their immigration or asylum claims.

The termination of the agreement will now result in migrants being immediately transferred to Border Patrol custody in lieu of criminal prosecution by Texas law enforcement authorities. During the meeting, Mayor Salinas lamented the position the city had been placed in due to a failure by the federal government to secure the border.

Best to send the illegal aliens to the National Mall, Washington, DC. Let Congress, White House, and Supreme Court share the joy of housing, feeding, educating, medicating the illegal aliens.

And when the Mall fills up, send them into to nearby towns where families of the Deep State live so they can share in the joy as well.
