He skipped out on President Biden’s inauguration — but former president Donald Trump claimed in an interview that he “took a lot of time” to write his successor a “nice note.”
In an interview airing Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Trump dished on the one piece of White House transition tradition he chose to uphold.
“I left him a note,” he told host Kristen Welker.
“I think it was very — it was a nice note. I took a lot of time in thinking about it.”
“I’d love him to do a great job, even if it was very bad politically,” he added.

Trump makes a really lousy dictator.
Even money he didn’t even read it. In fact l’ll bet he ripped it up and threw it away. Or maybe instead he and his little rat buddies read it out loud and ridiculed it
If it’s a tradition I’d like to hear about the one O left for Trump and Clinton for W and Carter for Reagan.
It is a tradition and it goes back many years and many Presidents. I would that scumbag Biden to break it, he may not even be capable.

The double backstop of 1.) having the Electoral College as the true means of electing the POTUS, then, 2.) the VP certifying the EC votes, means that Pence, by caving, made Biden POTUS. Undoing this is nigh unto impossible, as we are now seeing.
In fact, I believe the Constitution allows us to do away entirely with the people voting for POTUS on election day, and just have the electors do their thing.
Of course work on eliminating fraud in the popular vote.
But likewise cleanse the selection process for Electors.
And job ONE is getting a VPOTUS with spine enough to throw a stinky election back to the statehouses in the event of another 2020.
THAT is the mechanism that saves the republic.
Hopefully on a piece of used toilet paper.
