I’m done with the rhetoric. It's time for action.
I will be the president to finally END the invasion at the southern border.
Thanks to @joniernst for attending our event in Montgomery County where I outline the way to end the crisis once and for all.
Here’s how: pic.twitter.com/dW8a3HOYAQ— Ron DeSantis (@RonDeSantis) September 16, 2023

Liar! and a lousy one ate that!
Desantis hasnt even bothered to end illegal l crisis in his own state and he has had years to do it!
Just what we need—a Floridian Joni Ernst.
Pfffft!
He might bring out his secret stomping boots
if you read what you quoted of their interviewew you would see trump didn’t agree to give Zelinsky anything. He said he would use it as leverage if Putin doesn’t make a deal BUT the next part says Trump would have the deal done in one day.
SO it doesn’t mean what you claim, it means what it says.
LOL.
I don’t hate RDS, but I do think he’s out of his league here. He’s not coming across as genuine. He comes across as just another politician.
Because Trump is a pro out of talking out of both sides of his mouth.
He's good at it, I'll give him credit.
And his disciples lap it up.
If you take the time to listen, Governor DeSantis comes across as a man who thinks he can rest on his stellar conservative accomplishments.
He is failing in the polls because he can't articulate these accomplishments to a GOP base who just wants verbal red meat tossed to them.
The fact is, you can’t rest on your accomplishments, and overact when campaigning. He smiles and laughs in a very fake way.
I have liked him in the past, but he’s just not who I’m looking for as President. The fact that he is listening to the Bushes has me totally disinterested in him. I don’t need more politicians running this country. I need real people.
No serious candidate ever says rhetoric.
Yeah. Actually, he is conservative! Staunch conservative! His record says it! his rhetoric says it! The hatred of him from the left says it. I notice yall love to claim that everybody else in Politics is a RINO. There are the staunchest of conservative that- like DeSantis, Rand Paul, Ted Cruz, Clarence Thomas, et al, that yall have started calling establishment and Rinos. Just because you dislike somebody running against a candidate you favor or voicing a quality they don’t like about your candidate, does not make somebody a Rino. Rinoism isn’t determined by unquestioning loyalty to an election candidate. It’s determined by the positions taken on important issues- most centrally being the stances taken on legal & illegal immigration, shrinking middle class, job prospects for US citizens, trade, national sovereignty & international institutions encroaching on American citizens. The biggest issues it deals with is third world immigration, cheap labor and the resulting loss of well paid, middle class American jobs & cultural unity. Lately, it also includes opposition to neocon foreign policy & wars.
It’s a commentary about issues that the establishment (Democrat & Republican) instituted in better times, when most others weren’t looking. They were policies that only benefitted the elites & the establishment. Now that we are no longer in good times, the populace has taken notice and is in full opposition to those policies. The establishment is trying everything it can to stay in power & is paying off people to support their way of thinking.
What it is not is a flippant term to be waved around by one candidates devoted sect against another person or candidate because you prefer someone else. You don’t get to equate those two things. Being a conservative comes down to philosophy, ethics, morality, temperament. It follows a basic standard depending on its society. For us, it is almost exclusively traditionalist in its moral stances and religious faith, constitutionalist in it governing philosophy, market oriented in its economic stances & libertarian in its insistence on freedom.
So far as I can tell from his record in Florida & elsewhere, Ron DeSantis is to Trumps right by any of those measures. He has been solidly against and has strongly opposed to the elites stances on the issues mentioned earlier. He wants illegal immigration stopped & legal immigration reduced. He supports a border wall & huge increases in funds for border security & deportation. He’s skeptical of Nafta & a lot of free trade issues. He’s concerned about middle class & American jobs. He’s not a cheerleader for the Ukraine debacle or international policing generally. He’s focused opposition to wokeness & its supporters insanity. He has been a fighter. He’s no establishment stooge! 😉
So what?
This isn't American Idol.
Maybe we should choose out presidents by their actual accomplishments and not by how they laugh and smile on TV?
Every word you wrote.
You can vote how you want. RDS has turned me off, especially once I learned that he is listening to the Bush family. I’m sick of the Bushes, and I think it’s a big mistake on the part of RDS. He lost me.
Where is DeSantis listening to the Bush family?
I won't wait for a reply because I know you don't have one.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump staffed his entire administration with papa and Junior Bush's JV team.
Well, they are rather slow and lower on the IQ scale, all 80 million of them, so I can understand why he has a hard time explainin' it all to them in a way that they can understand.
DeSantis is bought and paid for by RINOs. He’s a lifer government employee scumbag and never had a real job in his life. That piece of chit has nothing in common with MAGA conservatives and he proves it each time he insults us. He will never get my vote. Never.
Delusional.
The question is what job?
