I was a supporter of Ken Paxton in the past. When many Republicans in the house whom I thought were conservatives voted to impeach Ken Paxton, I did believe he had done wrong and was sad for this.
This Senate trial and acquittal has proved he has done no political nor legal wrong. He did wrong in his personal life and without doubt paid a high price. This wrong had no reflection on his professional duties as Attorney General.
I will vote for Ken Paxton again without any reservation. However my question is what the hell happened in the Texas House of representatives that made this impeachment happen, without valid evidence. My representative voted for this impeachment. I in the next election will vote for his adversary in the primary.
There is much to be learned behind this impeachment that we do not know nor I know. I smell Bush.
AMEN Granny!! Thin skinned Phelan and his RINO buddies that were holding a grudge that Ken won in a landslide against George P. just got taken to the woodshed! People are sick of all the democrat legal shennanigans going on daily concerning Trump and Hunter Biden/Joe, and here are elected officials in Texas try to smear one of the leading AG’s in the country who has the most legal filings of all against the Biden administration and for the protection of the Lone Star state and we who live here. We will not forget the names who tried to backstab Ken, and definitely will work to rid our legislature of them and especially that snake Phelan!

after the full acquittal by the majority of the Senate in the #PaxtonimpeachmentTrial.
Every Texan needs to listen to what he said and how he said it.
This might be the most important speech made by a lieutenant governor in Texas history.
Yes, and biggest of the cronies just got another huge defeat Karl Rove! LOL poor Karl can’t put a win together for the Bushes anymore! He was a huge factor pushing this all the way!
District 108 Morgan Meyer is now TOAST. Needs to be primaried.
Of course his district includes the Bush Presidential Library and their Dallas estate so I’m sure he felt the pressure to caater to what they and Rove wanted. No excuse!
They SHOULD change the TX constitution. I don't know of any other state, and certainly not the federal government -- that "suspends" an elected official from office the instant the House votes to impeach. Doing so implies "the accused is Presumed Guilty until proven innocent in a court of law".
This is also the ONLY case of impeachment I know where the House voted overwhelmingly to impeach, but the Senate voted almost entirely along party lines for acquittal. Impeachments are usually lopsided in BOTH houses (if its obvious the accused did it and they want to get rid of him, like IL Gov. Rod Blagojevich being impeached 114-1, then convicted 59-0... and likewise, crooked federal judge Thomas Porteous was impeached unanimously by the House, then convicted 94–2 by the Senate and barred from future office), or they are sharply divided in BOTH houses (like all three Presidential impeachments being heavily split along party lines... the members of the President's party overwhelmingly opposed it, and the members of the opposition party overwhelmingly favored it)
Very curious how they got SO MANY TX House Republicans, even normally "stalwart anti-establishment conservatives" with impeccable records, to go along with this one and agree to ram thru an impeachment and throw Paxton under the bus on flimsy "charges"
Something VERY fishy about that.
The Bush family shook down or tried to shake down a lot of businesses and government entities like the Houston Ind. School District. They were involved in stock pump-and-dump schemes, especially during dot.com days. Babs was very aggressive.
They tried to push George P. Bush into high office and that didn’t work. Then they tried to smash Ken Paxton and ran in to the buzzsaw Tony Buzbee.
Iraq would be better and more fitting.
I’m okay with that. Actually I’d like to see their kids and grand kids sent. And no OCS for them. They go in as grunts.
