>> Will he have a state funeral?

Oh HAIL yes there will be a state funeral, because there’s Alinsky-style fruit to be picked by the DemonRat team. It’s too good an opportunity to be missed — especially if it happens to occur during an opportune time in the 2024 campaign. In fact, I wouldn’t put it above the rat bastards to smother Jimmuh with a pillow to achieve the state funeral timing they deem strategically optimal.

Whether or not Carter or the Carter family want a state funeral is totally irrelevant.

I read something about him carrying his own luggage in front of media. Out of view, he had whoever carry them.

He was born in 1924 - almost 100 years old.

Born before:
WW2
Space Program
Internet
electronic computers
US interstate highway system
South Africa (current republic)

He lived long enough to become the third worst President in American history. As he was upgraded from worst.

as is true of any politician, there are pluses and minuses to his record. The Camp David accords were an historic achievement.

I know there’s plenty of other things to criticize Jimmy for.

But it’s good, in my opinion, to discuss everything about someone’s record.

He was a terrible President. But as someone already said, he lived long enough for Biden to replace him as the worst of my lifetime.

One of the best things that can be said of Jimmah, is that, he lived long enough. to see himself not as the worst President ever.

October 1st he’ll be 99. It’d be cool if he made it to 100. Our first president to do this. Already Carter is oldest in history.

You have not been properly hailed for that fine touch of humor.

All hail! Dead....

Kudos.

He also made a big deal about not serving liquor at press receptions, just can’t do it in the White House, but in the Oval Office, they would booze it up. Read Ronald Kessler’s book about the Secret Service who universally disliked him the most of recent Presidents as they considered him a total phony, rude, abrupt and condescending in private. Yes, he would carry his bags in public, but they were empty and he’d dump then on Air Force One and the helicopter while the real bags had already been loaded. After his defeat and removal from office, Mister Carter made frequent use of Blair House across from the White House as it was free; he would take down the photos on the walls of Reagan, Nixon and Ford and put his own visage up in five or six places. He’s been in “hospice” for almost a year, which gets him the constant press attention a loser of a failed ex-President does not deserve.

There wasn't much funny to laugh at during the Carter years, but this was too funny. Especially coming from Carter who wore his faith on his sleeve.
Jimmy Carter's 'Lust in the Heart' Playboy Interview – 1976
Carter admitted in an unsolicited comment to two Playboy freelance writers that he had "looked on a lot of women with lust" and had "committed adultery in my heart many times," strange revelations all the more damaging because they appeared in a soft-porn magazine.

Probably a large part of why he was so eager to talk up Biden and denounce Trump in 2020. The Carter Center as a pioneer of overseas election integrity and election observation work is going to ring a bit hollow from Georgia but they are actually doing good work (I believe) as an NGO behind the scenes.

Jimmy Carter was a horrible president. I can’t say anything nice about him as a politician, but he does have a sense of decency that no longer exists in the Democrat Party today.

People keep forgetting about LBJ. I don’t think Carter even makes the top 5 list of worst presidents.

He screwed up Middle East relations? Pshh. W. did far more damage in that regard than Carter ever did.
