Does your GOP senator support Ukraine aid? It depends on whether he was elected before Trump (hmmm, isn't that interesting!)

In April of 2022, just months after Russia launched its invasion into Ukraine, Sen. Roger Marshall sat in a small conference room in the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center with a group of Ukrainians to talk about a potential food shortage that could arise from the war in Ukraine.

For Marshall, it was an opportunity to talk about inflation and how the war could drive up crop prices at home. But each Ukrainian that spoke had the same message — give us the weapons we need to win the war.

After the event, Marshall said he was inspired by the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian people. He said he wanted to get the country the weapons they need and to stand side by side with the country as it fought back against Russian aggression.

A year and a half later, his support has cooled.

“I’ve been saying now for quite some time, until we fund a border wall I’m not going to get any more money to Ukraine,” said Marshall, a Kansas senator elected in 2020.

Support for Ukraine from Republicans is, to me, a perfect way of telling everyone you’re a compromised rino without saying it.

What group of Ukrainians was this?
Was this the AZOV group that took photos with our clueless congress?

Mitt Romney says he ‘couldnt disrespect JD Vance more’. This is over Ukranian support.
Romney will probably show up in Ohio to campaign for Brown. Sherrod Brown must be replaced.

"Does your GOP senator support Ukraine aid? It depends on whether he was elected before Trump"

It might be a good indicator of who is in on the grift. Although Romney announced he won't be running again, and assuming he isn't about something more nefarious, he can still wreak havoc the rest of his tenure.

I don't agree with the AOL article's use of the word 'isolationist'--obviously they were using it as a loaded term. If you are supporting the invasion through the southern border, and doing nothing for (really, at the expense of) East Palestine and Lahaina while sending billions to Ukraine, in my book you are at best an idiot and at worst a traitor.
