In the Gun Free School Zones Act, 18 U.S.C. ยง 922(q)(2)(A) is supposed to exempt private property not part of school grounds. Maybe $100K and a good lawyer is needed to have this taken into consideration.

If the information in the affidavit is actually true, Metcalf does seem to have some possible mental health issues but what he is doing is likely legal because the law is unconstitutional. My fear is his issues may make it harder to defeat this law.
