Florida Gov. and presidential hopeful Ron DeSantis said the NAACP is pulling a "stunt" by calling Florida hostile to Black Americans, other minorities and LGBTQ+ people.
The NAACP has issued a warning that Florida is "openly hostile for African Americans, people of color, and LGBTQ individuals." In an interview with DeSantis, CBS Evening News ... Norah O'Donnell asked if ... everyone could feel welcome in DeSantis' America.
"A hundred percent," DeSantis responded. "And that is politics. That's a stunt that they're playing. They obviously have (a) very left wing agenda, which I don't begrudge them that. But in Florida, our unemployment rate amongst African Americans is way lower than New York, California and these blue states. We have more Black-owned businesses in Florida than any state in the United States."
"I have more African American students on scholarships for our school-choice program than any other state in the United States," DeSantis continued. "And so we've shown people can succeed in Florida regardless of their race, ethnicity, any of that."
"...we had the fight with Disney over the elementary education about, should you have things about sex and gender identity telling a second grader that their gender's fluid? We said, 'Absolutely not.' Parents in Florida agreed. And throughout — the country I think agreed with that."

Asked when the right age is to talk about gender identity in schools, DeSantis didn't offer an age but said it's "unacceptable" a child could transition genders without parental consent.
"And here's the thing, are we doing so well as a country on math scores and reading scores and science?" DeSantis said. "Why don't we focus on those things? You know, that I think unites everybody regardless of their viewpoint."

His leadership has safely brought Florida into the conservative column. We take a lot of things for granted on our side. That DeSantis has consistently managed to help deliver staunch conservative electoral victories for federal & statewide office as well as his own races should be a blueprint for us across the nation. He increased minority votes for conservatives in every category & got a majority of the hispanic vote. Because of that increased minority support, he won so overwhelmingly he couldn’t fall prey to electoral shenanigans by the Democrats. He helped Florida move from quadrennial toss up to strongly leans conservative. That battle for 270 in the Presidential race was made a lot easier when he moved Florida to the right. This and he did it in a state that is becoming more populous & diverse. It’s a blueprint for winning 😉

And still, somehow, about a third of the places in Florida have the name “paradise” on them. Shopping centers, subdivisions, motels, markets, beaches, street names.

No, the guy has produced the most conservatively legislated state in the union, by far! He’s opposed illegal immigration, open borders, vaccines, shutdowns, abortionism, forced transgenderism among children, abortionism, socialized medicine, high taxes, expansive government, gun control, woke cultural bs, current low public education standards, warrior neocons, multiculturalism & political correctness. He even told Mickey Mouse to go f*** himself. He hasn’t pulled the wool over anything. He’s opposed the leftists, exposed the establishment elites in both parties & is offering a conservative & nationalist choice to all of us on the right who think that joining a nihilist cult is going to be a losing cause. I will never allow my voice to be drowned out by people who are only looking as far as electing one guy in one electoral race or people that boycott most other races because they have convinced themselves that any other person running is establishment & it should go to a Democrat. As far as I can tell, those folks are helping burn the country down 🙄
DeSantis is correct. The fake news in Florida amplifies every lie of the left and tries to ruin DeSantis. He has been a very good governor.
Yeah, unfortunately there’s a crowd on our side that can’t seem to remember that we weren’t here to be ride or die cheerleaders for one guy, we were supposed to be organizes around a set of Constitutional principles, religious beliefs, economic standards & cultural values 🙄
