Eggs, Hot Dogs, Bagged Salad & Butter
Happy Days ARE Here Again! Ya-hoooooo!
Bud Light is almost free, so there’s that.
I’m going to add that Frozen Foodstuffs are up so drastically BECAUSE OF THE PRICE OF OIL. It takes a lot of electricity to keep things cool. Takes a lot of fuel to power electric coolers and refrigerated shipping trucks.
Gasoline is up.
I’m amazed at how eggs have tanked back down to less than $1.25 a dozen.
I’m able to get steaks for $7.99 a lb now and again, chicken for under $1 a lb bone in, $2.50 for boneless chicken breasts.
I have not experienced an increase in frozen veggies they never seem to move from 99 cents a bag.
Soda and Gatorade prices are absurd. Fortunately the store nearest me offers buy one get one free alternating weeks of Coke and Pepsi products so I don’t really mind. Discount Gatorade never happens and I miss it.
I would miss my $9 more for a 6 pack of Gatorade.
LOUIS WINTHORPE III: Pork bellies. I have a hunch something very exciting is going to happen in the pork belly market this morning.
Why are juice and drinks up so much?
A lot cheaper at the food banks.
.
Yeah they’re practically giving away eggs now. So weird from almost 7 bucks a dozen to 99 cents in such a short time.
Man, this reads about like the USSR propaganda: Tractor sales are up, therefore food production is higher. No one is starving!
All lies food prices are still as high as July.
Pork will continue rising in price (unfortunately):

When they say things are cheaper, they just mean they’ve backed off a little from their hyper-bidenflation highs. Everything, except Bud Light, is more expensive since Joe took office.
Nothing and everything, in that order.
Next question...
I’m sure that Victory Gin is either down or holding steady.
In any report like this, remember that food and gas price increases aren’t included in the inflation rate calculations.
Too volatile, they say.
In my neck of the woods (mid-south USA) the only real relief we see recently is eggs and a slight drop in boneless chicken breasts. Leg quarters are higher, at least at Aldi & Wally World. Beef is so high, the only beef I buy is hamburger if on sale. Pork is running a bit higher than a few months ago, but occasionally is cheaper at a local market if one wants to buy in 10 lb. or 40 lb. lots on sale. Everything grain related seems as high or higher than a few months ago.
I hear you can get a good deal now on tuck swimwear. So says a VERY good friend. lol
Not torturing pigs is a good step.
