I have a theory that Biden was not supposed to win in 2020. The Democrats had all their younger candidates drop out of the race and endorse that crooked retardate because they expected him to get his ass kicked — just like Mondale in 1984, Dole in 1996, and McCain in 2008.

The COVID fiasco — which erupted on a national scale right after the Super Tuesday primaries — threw the whole campaign into complete chaos.

Could be, but, democrats were looking for a 'name', one that people knew or heard about None of the primaries candidates had name recognition or were disposed of during the primaries with low poll numbers or with low primary votes.

FACT is that, no matter who they had running in the general election, he or she was going to win, no matter what. So, in order to give their expected victory some validity, they went with a known quantity and one that was still somewhat popular in democrat circles, so, Biden was it. Even if they had run Kamala, she was going to 'win'..

Seriously? They could count on about half the country and would do whatever they could to pull Joe over the finish line. If they were expecting to lose, they could have nominated Warren or Buttigieg or Harris or Booker.
