EXCLUSIVE: Rand Paul, Senate Republicans Demand CIA Explain Whistleblower’s COVID-19 Investigation Allegations

Republican Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and a group of Senate Republicans sent a letter Tuesday to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) regarding whistleblower allegations that the CIA offered to pay off analysts to change their positions on the COVID-19 lab leak theory.

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the letter, which refers to a senior-level CIA officer’s testimony to the House Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic (Select Subcommittee) and the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).

In the testimony, the senior-level CIA officer said the agency assigned seven officers to a COVID Discovery Team and that at the end of their review, “six of the seven members of the Team believed the intelligence and science were sufficient to make a low confidence assessment that COVID-19 originated from a laboratory in Wuhan, China,” according to a letter from the Select Subcommittee to CIA Director William Burns.

“All documents and communications regarding the establishment of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s);

All documents and communications between or among the members of all iterations of the COVID Discovery Team(s) regarding the origins of COVID-19;

Rand certainly gives good speeches. I’ve yet to hear of a speech ever stopping a communist revolution though.

What I want to see is people who will smash the deep state, which means generally an acceptance of term limits.

Abortion, guns . . . that all has to follow the eradication of the Swamp. Every single issue brought forth is intended to get the subject changed from draining the Swamp.

We just saw the good folks of Utah have made it clear that Romney must retire in disgrace. That should be true of all the Ruling Class.

CIA protecting China is kind of a big deal. The only reasons I can think of for doing it:

• they put politics ahead of everything and were helping to craft the narrative their masters told them to. I doubt this because they don't feel anyone is above them.
• They are protecting themselves, which would mean they were in cahoots with China. That would be very bad.
• They manipulated intel to try to shape domestic policies to their advantage. This is something I KNOW they do so it fits their MO. But what do they get out of protecting China in this case?

I suppose their are others but I cant come up with an actual good one.
