Democrats are losing minority support, and I have a modest proposal for Republicans: Educate minority voters and immigrants on what Democrats actually believe.
Writing in The New York Times, Ross Douthat wonders why Joe Biden is so unpopular.
Well, let me count the ways. . .
Douthat’s list of reasons isn’t all-inclusive, as blogger Ann Althouse notes: “Not one word about the Hunter Biden scandal.”
But I think Douthat is on to something with this statement: “Across multiple polls, Biden seems to be losing support from minority voters, continuing a Trump-era trend. This raises the possibility that there’s a social-issues undertow for Democrats, in which even when wokeness isn’t front and center, the fact that the party’s activist core is so far left gradually pushes culturally conservative African Americans and Hispanics toward the G.O.P. — much as culturally conservative white Democrats drifted slowly into the Republican coalition between the 1960s and the 2000s.”

LBJ owns them for just about another 140 years!!!
I was having a conversation with a black guy in Brooklyn about 3 hours ago. It was about a business transaction. He was a complete stranger to me except for the time we spent on the phone, maybe five minutes.
We start talking about investments, the 2017 DOL policies started by Elizabeth Warren, etc. Out of nowhere this guy says, “Trump better get elected in 2024 or we are really screwed!!”
We had a good long conversation after that. I told him NY deserves what’s happening since they voted all those fools into office. He says, “I didn’t vote for them!!”
I encouraged him to share his opinions with his friends and neighbors.
Sorry, but President Trump has already accomplished this.
No need to listen to bad advice from a Murdock Employee!
Thank you for posting this!!!,
We had high hopes in the past. Didn’t work out. It would be nice if it happened, but I won’t depend on it.
We are better off being focused on making sure that our base shows up.
i have had the same experience except it was before 2020
Dre-e-e-e-eam, dream dream dream . . .
Minorities are not homogeneous. Cubans have nothing in common with Mexicans.
Two years ago, my wife and I, along with my sister and BIL, moved to a 6-acre property out in the country...about an hour out of Dallas.
Our neighbor to the west is a nice, elderly black man (Tim) who is the only person on our street who PROUDLY displays his Democrat roots. Tim and I got into a discussion, which became heated because, with all due respect, it isn’t that Tim is stupid...no, Tim is IGNORANT! I never raised my voice, I simply pointed out all the things he knew that were WRONG (hat-tip to Ronaldus Magnus).
The man actually thinks the KKK was started by the Republicans. The man actually thinks Republicans created abortion centers in black neighborhoods to kill off the black population. The man actually thinks Democrats are better on the economy, although he lost his trucking job earlier this year because his company went out of business...and since he is 62 years old, no other hauler is going to give him the time of day for his typical 2-3 day run every week or every other week, when another driver calls off. More important, do you know whose fault it was that his company went out of business in 2023? TRUMP! Because Trump screwed up the economy so badly that it may take 6 to 8 years for Biden to correct all the issues. Inflation...100% Trump! High gas prices...100% Trump!
Again, he is not stupid...he is simply ignorant. And when I tried to show him the error of his ways, he got extremely angry, aggressive, and confrontational. Now, not wanting to recover from your ignorance is just...well, STUPID!!
We are NEVER going to convince the Tim’s to walk away from the Democrat party. But there are minorities who are coming around...I red-pilled the majority of my in-laws (all Hispanic) during Odumbo’s reign!
A Houston area radio personality, Michael Berry, once said, “You are not going to convert the extremists”...what he meant and went on to explain is that trying to convert those extremists will make you look as crazy and fomented as the person you are trying to change. Especially to those who might be willing to change their minds and listen. So, ignore those on the far-whatever and talk with those who want to listen, who want to learn, and who want to vote honestly.
The rest are a waste of breath, they are a waste of energy, and they cause unnecessary health problems like anger, HBP, and ulcers!
YUP; only until 2164/65.
When LBJ signed the acts that created the “great society” in 1964/65 he stated at that time that “we’ll have those niggers voting Democrat for the next 200 years”.
We have quite a way to go until then!
Sure, nothing to it.
Youngkin won Latinos in Virginia.
DeSantis won Latinos in Florida.
Latinos are shifting to the GOP in Texas.
Meanwhile, in California:
Nearly 60% of California voters oppose reparation payments for Black residents
It ain't the white voters in California opposing reparations. It certainly isn't the black voters. Latinos make up 39% of the population, the state's largest ethnic block. They are adamantly opposed to reparations that they'd have to pay for, not to mention much of the rest of the Democrats' far-left agenda.
The GOP can probably give up pandering to blacks. All it does is drive away other voters while continuing to disappoint. Latinos are where it's at. They're going to be the future of the Republican Party.
Rd later.
Probably not. At best it is a long shot. But the odds are better than zero. And even small inroads to the Latino population will destabilize the Democrats in a big way.
Outreach to Blacks is (IMO) a total waste of effort. Worse yet it is counterproductive as it alienates Latinos without making any substantial gains in Black support. And outreach to Latinos alienates Blacks. You have got to pick one group or the other, and the Latinos have much greater prospects for gains.
Or you can abandon racist outreach and go straight to a sexist approach. Women vote Democrat. Men can be persuaded to vote Republican if the Republican party will present an extremist masculine image and younger, more virile candidates. It is a long-neglected market that is ripe for picking.
The differences between genders massively overshadow the differences between races or ethnic groups. Appeal to Men, and you can draw from all the Whites, Blacks, Latinos, and every other group. The women will follow their men; at least the married ones will. You can ignore the single women and the feminists. Nothing will ever change them except forcible enslavement at the hands of their former allies. Maybe not even that.
Why not try something different? What we have been doing clearly is not working. And we are running out of time as demographic changes (aka The Great Replacement) transform this country.
FLOTUS Melania showed (and shows!) all we needed to know about DJT's virility.
Just remember that liberals are nothing more than emotionally immature children in adult bodies and suddenly their irrational and impulsive actions will make sense. Just like little kids, they want everything their way, but the minute you try to offer your opinion they just plug their ears and run from the room chanting, “Nah, nah, nah, nah….can’t hear you!”
Start acting like responsible republicans first and not like democrats
An election win means nothing, God has been judging us since he imposed the socially promoted 0bama on us.
Just recall what happened to Pres Trump, it was one manufactured crises after another, plus all the BLM riots across the nation. Then one day after the failed impeachment the bogus covid was created to crash his successful economy. After that they stole the election. And he’s still being unlawfully persecuted to this day.one
The one world media is too blame for this.
The wokeness is part of it. A big part however is the economy. Real incomes are down for the 3rd year in a row.
Credit card debt is exploding - it recently surpassed $1 trillion. Credit card defaults are skyrocketing. Denials of credit on car loans are skyrocketing. A LOT of people are living paycheck to paycheck with nothing to spare and indeed much of the credit card debt is not coming from lavish spending but from people unable to afford the bills for the basics.
They remember how good things were under Trump before Covid. If the economy slides into an official recession as appears likely, that will push even more into the Trump camp.
