NATO is dead

really?

so why do the Russian shills here keep calling for NATO's end or abolishment?

if it's already dead?

“...went to war WITH the USA in Iraq ?

When USA came calling for nato troops they delivered. “

How many? A few thousand ? Also, the risk of going to war against Iraq in 2003 was insignificant compared to going against Russia in 2023.

“Unlike America, Russia isn’t an interventionist nation.”

Tell that to Chechnya, and Georgia, and Moldova, and...well; you get the picture.

The equivalent would be for the USA to intervene in Canada, Cuba, Mexico and Guatemala - countries that are actually NEAR ITS BORDER !

" reminding us why we need to back Ukraine"

Because we should always back the nazi side in conflicts between Christians and nazis??

Do you have some reason to believe that Russian army generals have the power to start wars on their own??

You probably don’t use a VPN to read news blocked by the Great Wall of the DNC. if you had bothered to read foreign news sources from Russian MOD on briefings, or from India you might find out that the MSM in the States is lying to help Biden.

Shame on everyone here at FR who believes the DNC or Biden ... the folks that lied and brought you Russian collusion.

Really shame on you for buying that party line propagandists BS in west about Ukraine.

Unless you are DNC lover, seek the news outside the US.

Biden and the globalist don't give a shit about the people of Ukraine. It's the corrupt country they launder money in. They send billions to Ukraine where it's washed and sent back to the corrupt uni-party. The same scumbags are destroying America every day. Biden, Soros, Schwab and the other globalist are a much bigger threat to America then Putin.

Are you telling us that the items you describe (already invented by Americans) can’t be manufactured by Americans?

Agreed it would take rebuilding factories and production facilities but I think we proved we could do that pretty quick in 1941.

Don’t forget there are over 393 MILLION GUNS IN PRIVATE HANDS IN THE UNITED STATES, I think we could buy the time necessary.

Of course it would take a President like TRUMP who is familiar with construction and manufacturing to get it done.
Oh yeah, Di Santis was a lawyer wasn’t he? NO REAL WORLD EXPERIANCE.

It’s too bad you believe the lies in the Western press.

It is sickening to DNC taught hatred of Russia.

Seriously, go read what other countries print. Sometimes just listening to Blinkin or a NATO-Con will say something true not according to the narrative.

If you just listen to Biden calling you a fool isn’t accurate, unless you truly always believe CNN, MSNBC, CBS, BBC, then liberal works.

If Putin was interested in the rest of Europe he might have done exactly what you suggested. Either a dumb*ss, or he just wants donbas. Hard to guess.

He was obsessed with Ukraine. But I think all Russia had to do was to wait another 10-20 years to take Ukraine if they wanted to do that. Take the Baltics now. Ukraine later. The demographics in Ukraine are really bad. In a generation, Ukraine won't have enough men to field an army.

Here's a pro-America stance: "Gov. Ron DeSantis says he'd take a hard line against North Korea if necessary, including a preemptive military strike in the event evidence said they were gunning for the U.S. first."

Preemptive strike. Shoot first. When we do it, it's okay.

From among your earliest comments, from 9/8/2023, 6:44:58 PM :

Desantis is a smart man

I want to see he him more forceful against the other candidates

I want less talking points and more debating, he is strong when he talks from the heart and good and powerful at dismantling the journalists questions.

I really like Desantis.

I like his “we will use force “ comment about border security

Your wish to campaign for DeSantis -- you neglected to capitalize properly -- is duly noted. As is your enthusiasm for multiple comments which are assertions and opinions. Reoeating them does not further any discussion or debtae.

"Goodnight I’m tired" at 9/12/2023, 9:11:44 PM, suggests something. I'll look to see when "mom" begins her post and comments....

From the Mises article:

"You don’t need a degree in banking or a Ph.D. in economics to know that lending money at 2% while you are borrowing money at 5% is a losing proposition. That is what our Federal Reserve Banks did and continue to do.

On top of this, as disclosed in the footnotes of the CQFR on page 7, when the combined Fed’s investments were marked to market on June 30, they had a market value loss of over $1 trillion, or a market value loss of 23 times the Fed’s stated capital.

Said in other words, this politicized Fed -- a set of little Feds -- is essentially bankrupt and bankrtuping the nation. It is time to liquidate the Fed, charge off the P & L sides of the ledges, and close it. The ECB, created out of thin air when the EU was formed, is of the same nature. Fiat currency created out of nothing.

Trump was quite helpful with the NATO training and light arms the Ukies received during his term.

Many of NATO’s core competencies on the ground (basically, a defensive fight vs. Russia) translated well over to the Ukrainians in the situation in 2022.

NATO’s experience in fighting insurgencies, adapted by the Ukies, and added to the Trump-sent weapons was also likely part of the reason Pooty was nervous about Donbas. Pooty could not have enjoyed the possibility of his aggressions going backwards. Once Biden had truly shown his (Biden’s) weakness (Afghanistan), it was time to move.

I see many comments that this General would have little influence in setting policy. That’s likely true.

But, that’s not the point. He’s presently “in favor” (recently promoted to a substantial command) and REFLECTING policy.

It is not like we have not heard similar from all the way up to Pooty, over the years.
