Grisham is just behaving like a typical modern Democrat. Even the most well-intentioned of them NEVER think ahead. They support open borders, shutting down power plants, etc. with no thought about how everything will play out.
Conservatives think about tomorrow.
Liberals live for today.
It’s Kabuki theater. They’re going to go for Newsom’s plan to amend the Constitution, and this is the first move in setting the stage for it.
There will be more of this, leading up to the election.

She is testing the left’s new “non-preemption” doctrine in prep in case Trump gets back in. She is pushing state’s rights over the “Supreme law of the land” in hopes that it somehow becomes successful, in other words trying to overturn the age-old “Preemption doctrine” where when state laws/actions conflict with a Federal law, then fed law preempts the state law/action. Blue States want this. There is a very good argument that this is an Insurrection against the US Constitution.
I think it’s a test run for the rest of the country. She must be smacked down hard.
