Actually, I don't have a problem with this. At some point, we'll have to move on. It's been 22 years. It's the same deal with Pearl Harbor. An important day in history. But we don't have to be there in person every year.

That said, I think it's a shame that we've passed the Patriot Act after 9/11. We are still dealing with that today. Osama bin Laden is deaf. Al-Qaeda is gone. But we gave our government too much power after 9/11.

1941 and 1963 and 2001 were three times when most Americans of a certain age (except for Poppy Bush in 1963) knew where they were when they heard the news.
