True. But China was their ally only when it was to their interests.
Isn't that always the way it has been when we've been involved in proxy wars with both Russia and China? Russia and China have been linked together as partners in years past, when it's been beneficial to them. It's a relationship of convenience. Hitler did it with his non-agresssion treaty with Stalin. Every time HItler wanted to invade a country, he'd make a pact/treaty with them that he wouldn't invade. Then he'd stage a false flag incident, and invade them. I don't think I'll ever understand why any country would have trusted Hitler's word on anything. He never kept it.
I should have mentioned in my last comment that the one thing that hasn’t happened in the decades on-and-off relationship between Russia and China, is that they haven’t stabbed each other in the back...yet.
