Hindsight is 20/20. California Governor Gavin Newsom, who took considerable heat from constituents and a recall attempt over the state’s tough Covid-19 restrictions and vaccine rollout, acknowledges the criticism was valid.
In a taped interview which aired on Sunday’s NBC news magazine Meet The Press, Newsom said given what he knows now, “I think we would’ve done everything differently.”
Later in the interview Newsom responded to criticism of his state’s decisions saying: “All of it’s legitimate in terms of reflection.”
“I think all of us in terms of our collective wisdom, we’ve evolved,” Newsom added. “We didn’t know what we didn’t know. We’re experts in hindsight. We’re all geniuses now.”

This is smart for him to acknowledge the obvious.
He gets some points for candor and authenticity when we usually get transparent lies.
Compare to Justin Trudeau and that guy from New Zealand who now claim they never forced anhyone to get a vaccine.

All I can say about his remarks, is the Patti Page song, “Who’s Sorry Now”.

At least he is honest enough to admit that what they did was wrong, and that they would do it differently. That’s a start,

He’s running for President. He has had no epiphany about Covid protocols.
He ignored them as did Pelosi.
Poop maps exist for California.
This Governor is full of 💩

Only the first part is honest. I have no reason to believe the second part is.

And so the Media will pretend that he did do everything differently and soon it will be DeSantis and Kemp who locked everyone down while Newsom set his citizens free!!!

You mean he read a poll, this is a vulnerability and he is giving the media its marching orders to start 1984ing the reality that he ACTUALLY DID do it differently.
Sincerely regret? Hell no. He would have loved to put the non-obedient in camps and would do it again in a heart beat.

I have no reason to believe the second part is.So true, is is a quintessential political hack, no different than an oily used car salesman.

Close, but I believe that the song goes “wish I didn’t know now what I didn’t know then.”

He didn’t really say anything. He doesn’t say what he did wrong, or what he would have done differently? He would have been stricter, less strict? No credit until he says something.

Liberals AND conservatives need to reflect on the covid disaster, and hold the true culprits responsible - the “experts” and the media who destroyed any true debate (such as burying the Great Barrington Declaration) and created a mind warp of most of the population.

In the early days of the Fauci Flu all of us, including Newsom the Vile, were feeling our way through it and of course mistakes were made. But during the two years following that early period, when we knew what we were doing from a public health perspective, to our children and to our economy and businesses was causing enormous damaage, and as people were protesting and screaming to get rid of these destructive, ineffective measures, California and Newsom the Vile and the state's goofy-looking state health agency head maintained the most onerous lockdowns, mandates for the useless masks and dangerous "vaccines" and other restrictions in the nation! ... The result being California had one of the highest -- if not the highest rate of excess deaths in the country.
