Former President Trump warned Blake Masters that he is likely to lose an Arizona Senate primary to Kari Lake in 2024, The New York Times reported Friday.
The Times report claims Trump called Masters on Sunday to make the blunt prediction, in what would be a move inconsistent with his 2024 strategy so far of generally staying out of down-ballot Republican races.

Being robbed of something doesn’t make one a loser.
If you’re correct, what concrete steps have the Republicans take to correct the situation other than file a bunch of legal challenges that have gone no where.
Neither one of them are in office right now and won’t be in the future if they achieve some type of success with their legal challenges and the Democrats make this a 3-way race.
She can’t win with 2 left-wingers splitting the vote (herself and Communist Gallego) against a single Conservative.
Don’t underestimate the power of an incumbent and the power of the Republicans to self-destruct.
The AZ GOP has too many corrupt leftist McCainiacs holding power, and they’re quite happy to help their Demonrat friends (and also help from the Sinaloa Cartel) to keep out non-crooked Conservative outsiders.
More to the point, corrupt establishment RINOs sandbagging outsider reformers to help their Demonrat allies.
Lakes case going to trial.
Perhaps you’re right again, the one thing you don’t do is tell those former McCain supporters to get the hell out of your rallies, like Kari Lake did.
Perhaps you can’t get all of them to vote for you but no Republican including Kari Lake can afford to intentionally alienate voters.
Good luck to her, we’ll see what the outcome is, either nothing or something that can influence 2024, I would not hold out hope because the Democrats will continue to fight this if they lose the upcoming trial until after 2024.
I asked this months ago.
Crickets when I asked what legislation has President Trump and/or his team publicly advocated for at the state level to reduce the incidence of election and voter fraud.
One poster replied that we are not privy to such plans as it would give Dems the advantage if they knew. A pretty ignorant statement.
Sinema is the incumbent, she will have a ton of money behind her, and she’s won elections before.
*********
And many democrats hate Sinema’s guts for thwarting much of their socialist agenda, an agenda that the Bernie Sanders wing wanted implemented immediately after the Big Steal of 2020.
Unfortunately for the progressives, Sinema & Manchin had other priorities.
Sinema's challenge is that Democrats in Arizona don't like her. Republicans do, but they won't vote for her if there's a Republican on the ticket.
The best shot Sinema has at remaining in the Senate is to flip to the GOP and win a primary race by attrition after Masters and Lake annihilate each other.
Are there enough swing voters in Arizona where Sinema could still win as an independent, beating both party's candidates? I honestly don't know.
You’re right, to my knowledge the Republicans have done nothing in key states to oppose what’s happening except to continue filing legal challenges that have gone nowhere.
It’s the classic definition of insanity to repeat the same actions over and over and expecting a different outcome.
It should be obvious by now the courts are not going to step in, basically saying it’s a legislative situation, not a judicial situation.
Those people have no intention of helping Conservatives. Gov-elect Lake knows that.
They played a substantial role in perpetrating election fraud in the state (against both Trump in ‘20 and the statewide nominees in ‘22). Their presence at rallies is sabotage, pure and simple. Think Demonrats would let Trump or Lake supporters into their rallies ?
Regardless of what you think, some percentage of those McCain voters are natural Republicans and could be persuaded to vote for Lake, you have to court them instead of telling them to get the hell out of your rallies.
No Republican including MAGA favorites can win unless they have unity among conservatives, neither side is capable of winning without the other.
Re: 33 - except for the fundraising that goes on, not much seems to be done.
Except more foot stomping and whining when Repubs lose seats that had a chance to win
Foot stomping, whining and claims of stolen elections, followed up by fundraising demands to help pay Trump’s legal fees and the legal fees of those around him that are deemed sufficiently loyal.
Removing the last vestiges of the McCain machine in AZ is paramount to fixing the state GOP there. And as I said, you don’t invite saboteurs into your camp unless you’re suicidal.
Having her as Govenor probably would have taken AZ out of play for the Rats against Trump. Now, who knows, they’ll just cheat again.
That’s all fine, unless you want to continue to lose elections, you don’t alienate any voters especially when you know it’s going to be a close election and the Democrats are good for fudging the numbers to some degree.
