SALEM, Ore. — A new report released by the Oregon Health Authority shows health care costs are on the rise, and Oregonians are struggling to keep up.
The OHA’s report, released Thursday, shows that on average, Oregonians are spending about 22% of their budget on health care costs.
The new report also looked at household spending on health care in 2021 and found Oregonians are paying on average $8,000 a year on their health.
That’s a 5% increase since 2019 and about a 40% increase since 2013.
The report, for example, found that 17% of Middle Eastern or North African people reported delaying care, compared to 8% of white people and 3% of Asian people in Oregon. American Indian or Alaska Native people and Latinx people in Oregon were more likely to report they used up their savings on medical bills.

I don’t have insurance. Haven’t had ir for 25 years. I spend maybe 5% of my income(50k/year) on health care.
“You can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan and save $2500” Obamacare was sold with audacious lies.
“Obamacare was sold with audacious lies.”
And the line between the people who didn’t believe him, and the sheeple who did believe him, has been clear from Day One.
Democraps sell concepts that sound good, but have yet in my lifetime delivered anything but expensive crap.
Notice how they conflate medical care with health insurance. People are paying 8000+ for insurance and then are to broke to pay for actual medical care because the deductble is so high the insurance rarely kicks in.
Oregon also has a terrible shortage of doctors because they don’t want to work for Kaiser or Providence. There are all kinds of concierge clinics across the border in WA, but not in OR, so there must be some laws or regulations preventing them.
Don’t retire in Oregon, the commies hare will euthanize you.
Oregon’s solution will be more communism.

Sorry, I don’t buy it - unless they are counting health insurance premiums that are largely paid for by employers - but $8K in out-of-pocket costs *on average* - no way.

______
And if that’s not enough they just burn you out like they did southern Oregon 3 years ago.
John Robert's tipped the governments hand when he called health insurance products a "Tax".
Eventually the federal taxing agency will manage your Healthcare. Your eligibility, approved procedures, co-pays, etc... will be managed by them.
The only hitch is how they can figure out how to pull off a two tired system, just like everything else progressives push on the public, but exclude their own.
That is what's currently taking place.
Wait until the Official Pedophile of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. has every person on the planet living in the U.S. We’re all gonna find out about healthcare then. LOL!
That’s exactly what they are doing. After 8k in premiums a lot of people are too broke to pay the out of pocket costs before they reach their deductble. So they are basically paying for insurance they can’t afford and can’t use.
All part of the plan to bring about Single-Payer. ObamaCare was all about breaking the system.
