I’ll have to read the order in-depth tomorrow to get a better idea of the limitations actually left in place. Hopefully, some knowledgeable legal eagles will dissect it and provide us information as well.
Here is an article from Just the News, but I do not see a link to the Court’s actual order.
Gee. Thus article reads like it was written by a state-run media outlet
Oh, wait.... it was
Sounds like a sound “thumping” at the hands of an important court. One level shy of SCOTUS. The Brandon Administration is running out chances to find a friendly venue.
The “slap” was on the wrist. We are living in a banana republic.
“It provided exceptions for the government to inform social media companies about posts involving criminal activity, national security threats, and foreign interference in elections.”
The regime might claim so-called Covid-19 disinformation represents a national security threat.
In any event I suppose the Biden admin could keep doing what they are doing since it would take a while for new court cases to go through the system.
Communist Administration.
Unfortunately there are no laws that apply to government employees who actively abuse Americans rights. There should be and it should be a capital crime when they do.
The Biden administration arguments sound like straight out tyrannical insanity.
Can’t they now just funnel all the censoring through the Department of Homeland Security?
“Still, the order limits the scale of the injunction, which had previously included the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, Health and Human Services. Today’s order applies only to the White House, the surgeon general, the CDC and FBI.”
If this is true, the 5th circuit effectively gelded the lower court preliminary injunction.
Leaving State, HHS, and Homeland Security free to censor social media is effectively leaving the whole federal government free to do so. The hard work of the lower court judge is now a joke.
4 am Thanks!
:-)
Good, but the biased NPR HAD to throw a caviar in there: “ The panel of judges, all GOP nominees, say that the administration’s efforts to flag what it considered to be false and harmful content about COVID, the 2020 election and other topics that violated the social media companies’ policies likely amount to a violation of the First Amendment. The court found that Biden Administration officials coerced and threatened the social media companies to take down content.”
Caveat. Sorry.
Misleading claims about election Biden won.
Anyone who believes any ruling or court order is going to even remotely slow down the deep state march to tyranny is fooling themselves.

Try CENSORSHIP.
This decision should advance a class action suit to punish both @Jack and Suckerberg and Scmshitt for 2020 censorship. Just lawfare the f--- out of these Section 230 companies. Suckerberg ponied up over half-a-billion for the unrestricted visual AI recognition (pushing tagging in FB Photos strictly on AI) he implemented in FB Photos in 2017. Just keep punching. down.
"....and exactly how many divisions does the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals have?" opined Biden.
no mention of lil black annie literally IN BED WITH CNN???
