Niger has given the US ambassador to the country 48 hours to leave, AFP reported on Friday.
The new US Ambassador to Niger Kathleen FitzGibbon only arrived in the capital, Niamey, earlier this month.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Niger's Foreign Ministry has told the U.S.
government that images of letters circulating online calling for the departure of
certain American diplomatic personnel were not issued by the ministry, a U.S.
State Department spokesperson said."No such request has been made to the U.S. government," the spokesperson
said after AFP reported that Niger had given the U.S. ambassador 48 hours to
leave the African country. The United States has been pressing for a diplomatic resolution of the crisis
that erupted on July 26 when Niger military officers seized power, deposed
President Mohamed Bazoum and placed him under house arrest.
That’s cute. The Niger Foreign Ministry thinks it’s still in charge of the country.
EC
Biden’s handlers have not permitted him to make any public statements regarding this situation. They are fearful of the way Biden will pronounce the name of the country when he reads it from the teleprompter.
Conflicting ‘news’ reports. Hmmmm
Conflicting US/Niger government reports. Hmmmm
I sorta kinda wonder who to believe.
Do I trust Reuters or The Jerusalem Post (via Reuters)?
Do I trust the American Government or the Niger Government?
To quote Slim Pickens in Blazing Saddles; “I am conflicted”
Maybe the request was made to Ms FitzGibbon personally and not to the US government.
Well we don’t want her back here either!
That’s what we told them and we’re sticking by our story.
Only the deposed govt can give US orders to get off the plantation.
Who do these Africans think they are, anyway?
“I know it, but I don’t think I should say it...”
I remember that.
And it was 100% intentional.
It sure was.

“Do I trust the American Government or the Niger Government?”
It’s easy to figure this one out. The word after American and Niger displays they are both liars.

It should quite OBVIOUS by now that the African countries near Niger, unlike Zelensky, have NO INTEREST in doing the dirty work for the Neocons.
So it’s up to the US and France now...if they want these African countries back, they’ll have to do it by force.
But if they do, then what? All I can think of is Afghanistan.
