WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Niger's Foreign Ministry has told the U.S.
government that images of letters circulating online calling for the departure of
certain American diplomatic personnel were not issued by the ministry, a U.S.
State Department spokesperson said."No such request has been made to the U.S. government," the spokesperson
said after AFP reported that Niger had given the U.S. ambassador 48 hours to
leave the African country. The United States has been pressing for a diplomatic resolution of the crisis
that erupted on July 26 when Niger military officers seized power, deposed
President Mohamed Bazoum and placed him under house arrest.
Maybe the request was made to Ms FitzGibbon personally and not to the US government.
Well we don’t want her back here either!
It should quite OBVIOUS by now that the African countries near Niger, unlike Zelensky, have NO INTEREST in doing the dirty work for the Neocons.
So it’s up to the US and France now...if they want these African countries back, they’ll have to do it by force.
But if they do, then what? All I can think of is Afghanistan.
My hope is that in all of this drama, Biden will be required to make a speech about the situation and will need to read the name of this country off a teleprompter.
