He stiffed Rudy Giuliani for legal bills and this is how he sort of makes up for it. Giuliani won't say a cross word about it because he is wiped out from his association with Trump. If Trump paid all his lawyers on time and with his own money, this wouldn't be necessary in the first place.

Multiple Trump legal advisers are facing disbarment, and for his part, Trump is not creating a track record of compensating all his staff. What do you think happens when a high profile guy in substantial legal trouble gets a reputation for not paying his lawyers?
I take issue with the characterization of Rudy as “disgraced.” There has been no trial and charges are merely accusations that need to be proven in a court of law.
Sounds like you have the inside scoop about what Trump did that’s criminal. Please share with the class, because the rest of us are waiting for the trial to find out if he’s guilty of a crime.
That wording implies that Rudy has incriminating info on Trump. Add in the fact that you’re a well known Trump hater and it’s not hard to connect the dots.
If he helps too much, he’ll be accused of witness tampering. That’s how the Dumbocrats roll these days and they’d likely get away with it. So he’s damned if he does and damned if he doesn’t.
