I do believe Ann Coulter is a conservative and many of her views match mine — but beyond that, I simply can’t figure out what exactly she wants, and more to the purpose of her constant bitching - what exactly is her strategy to get there.

Ann Coulter identified a niche market that could make her a lot of money and catered to it.

She does need a "mission statement", I agree.

She's good at making splash headers that make people curious, and sometimes too good. (Like when she agreed with the Afghanistan pull out).

That said, she does have a following, and insulting her, by association, insults her readers. Reagan and the Bushes knew not to do this.

Ann Coulter thinks it’s easier to get things done in politics than it is, so she’s easily disappointed. She also likes to be a contrarian and attract attention to herself. And she doesn’t always think before speaking.

Even when Coulter was everybody’s darling here she said a lot of provocative and stupid things, just because they came into her head at some point. She doesn’t seem to have people around her who can argue with what she says and force her to support her opinions with evidence or question the things that pop into her head.
