I think it was just his ‘victory lap’..................
I don’t blame him. He may have won but he was going to be treated to the Colorado bakeshop owner or Donald Trump lawfare treatment.
Not everyone wants that crap.
I think there’s more to this story. Besides living in FL, he said there’s a family member who is ill, but he also states “I believe I can best continue to advocate for constitutional freedom and religious liberty by working from outside the school system so that is what I will do”. He also has a publicist.
It seems they were going to make his life miserable and perhaps his family’s and it wasn’t worth it. The Left never really loses.See Biden’s attempts to get around the AA Supreme decision.
Only if the knee taking is not about protesting the national anthem and the flag.
The battles of WW 1 and 2 were won on the playing fields of America..... Winston Churchill.
It makes perfect sense, he set a precendent, got a little pay for the wars he fought. At some point he needs to EARN money. How much do you think an Assistant Coach makes? I would think his teachers pay if any, and a little kicker for Coaching.

He is taking the money and running.
If his Dad is elderly in FL, I get it. I am sure there are lots of people around him who are pissed at the attention he got, and the money he “cost” the school district.
Why put up with that crap?
He went back to prove a point. That point is made. Now he can get money being a “motivational” speaker at Christian events. He can charge $10-$20k per event and live well the rest of his life.
He won his case. He made his point. He gets to live his life how he wants. He probably aspires to be more than an Assistant Football Coach at a high school level. And that is OK.
Footballs as used by the NFL, colleges and highschools are made out of cow hides. The pigskin thing comes from the early days when a pig bladder was used as the lining to hold the air. In the 1860’s vulcanized rubber replaced the pig bladder in all footballs.
