Outside the California State Capitol last month, a fitness trainer turned school board president fired up the crowd at a parental rights rally, telling them they were all fighters in “a spiritual battle” for their kids and must answer the call from God.
Sonja Shaw, who was elected to the Chino Valley Unified School District board of education last November with an assist from a local megachurch and its Christian nationalist pastor, didn’t equivocate in naming the enemy: state Democratic officials who are challenging her right-leaning policies—and drafting laws that hinder book bans and protect teachers from harassment.
Other right-leaning school boards across the state have followed Chino Valley Unified’s lead.
But in Chino Valley, the school board’s new direction appears to be spurred on by a man behind the curtain: Shaw’s.

Love the slanted article about pushing the schools to the “far right”, which probably just means they don’t want boys in the girl’s bathrooms. Sigh.
If this is a Calvary Chapel based on Chuck Smith’s Church, then it is a true Bible believing fellowship. May God bless them in their endeavor to stop the enemy and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ.
California has a STRONG Church Culture.

Calvary Chapel’s Rock !
Every one I’ve been to has been outstanding.
“book bans”
There are no book bans.
Exactly, the media lies about everything!
Unfortunately, I have a CC by me that is far less than outstanding.
To these lunatics, anything not “falling off the edge of reality left” is extreme right wing.
>> If this is a Calvary Chapel based on Chuck Smith’s Church, then it is a true Bible believing fellowship.
Yeah it is! Mrs. Tick and I attended the Calvary Chapel in San Jose. Full gospel, open bible, “not ashamed of the gospel of CHRIST” and its power. Fearlessly stood up to the local powers who tried to shut it down during the plandemic; their successful battles with the State of CA, Santa Clara County and the city of SJ are well known. It was uplifting beyond words to arrive 15 mins. before the service started and find the parking lot PACKED. In San Jose of all places!
Glory to GOD!
>> anything not “falling off the edge of reality left” is extreme right wing.
And don’t forget their favorite epithet, “Christian Nationalist”. They love to hurl that one around. Go for it, I say! I am happy to identify as a Christian conservative patriot! As my man John Zmirak of “The Stream” (stream.org) said, if not Christian Nationalist, what would you prefer to be called? Secular globalist? Or pagan tribalist?

Where?
Why ?

Does it also
attempt to draft laws that hinder pornographic books in kids grade schools
and restrict grooming teachers from gender bending kids without notifying parents ?
LOL Christian Nationalist... Plzzzzzzzzz
Jack Hibbs is a great Bible scholar. I’ve watched dozens of his sermons, many dealing with Bible prophesy.
‘How dare Sonja Shaw try to overcome our generations of pushing public schools to the far, perverted, left!!!!”....
“Why it took us DECADES to destroy the educational and moral value of public schools, and this Nazi thinks she can come in and change things back to some semblance of sanity and decency???!?!?” ...
“Off with her head!!!!”
After Chuck Smith died his son in law took charge and abandoned a lot of Chuck’s distinctive teaching. This resulted in a split in the CC world. IIRC Hibbs has remained with the old school Chuck wing.
Yes...there is Biblical book bans.
Need the “far right” to push the far left our.
Hogwash article.
Our = out.
So good to hear!
We attended Calvary Chapel Anaheim when we were first married, then when we moved we attended several other “satellites’ of CC. I loved listening to Chuck Smith’s Word for Today in my early years as a Christian. I learned so much.
Glory to God! And, Maranatha!
Funny about the book bans. My high school library was a piece of crap. I read thru the entire biography section. not much there. The shole school was a piece of crap except for the math teachers. they knew math.
