Students paying to live on campus at the University of Michigan may need to find a hotel room to isolate should they test positive for COVID-19, according to guidance on the school’s website.
Students who test positive for the virus will be required to leave their dorms during their isolation period, which could last for five days, university Chief Health Officer Robert D. Ernst said in a message to the school community Friday.
In the message, "Campus COVID-19 resources and related guidance," Ernst included various preparations and prevention methods against transmission of the virus.
The guidance also encouraged students to "make an isolation plan" ahead of time to help "provide peace of mind."

That’s an important consideration. And the article gives no clear answer. So either the reporter was too lazy to dig, or the college was too lazy to think things through.

I was possibly exposed last Friday to someone who has now tested positive for COVID. My doctor’s office told me this morning not to bother to get tested. I’m certainly not unhappy!
libs refuse to pay for anything. There is no mention of it because the student is expected to foot the bill.
No discount on the dorm either.

I can’t believe people are still taking these stupid tests 3 years later.
It reminds me of the Y2K scare where everyone was afraid their computers wouldn’t be able to count past 1999. I was CFO of a small ($6M) company and had responsibility for IT.
My CEO and the board were ready to spend a bundle on Y2K prep and I assured them computers can count well beyond 1999. They trusted me and we did nothing at all to prepare, except the routine back up.
Of course, 2000 came and went and there was no crisis - but a lot of IT consultants made a boatload of $$!
This Covid nonsense has the exact same smell.
It is literally a jumped up case of the sniffles not the ubonic plzgue people need to stop panicking!

Kids shouldn’t get tested. It’s a friggin cold. We’ve already had a bout of it in our house.
